I've followed the WC since '94. It's always a fun month of the summer. Although this was the first one that made me realize how fast life goes and how old I'm getting.
In '94 I was a young man of 18, ready to see what the world was about. Now in 2018 I'm in my 40s, seen much of the world and have little idea of what this life is all about...and the 2014 WC seemed like just a year ago. So one thing I guess that I've learned is time goes so fucking fast.
2022 will be the worst WC of all-time because of the location...I plan on attending a game or two in 2026 if I'm still alive. I went to Cameroon v Sweden at the Rose Bowl in '94 and had such fun that I decided I'd begin to follow soccer more closely. My favorite WC is 2002 split site Japan/S. Korea hosts.
