This daisy is an innovator. Keytruda Pembrolizumab??? Try tru_vada, that fool was funny.
|
|
Yeah I’m sooooo innovative. Google it: Keytruda Pembrolizumab
Trying to see if any kind gentlemen or women would be willing to donate before I try gofundme.
Never tried using gofundme, but will try that route when the time comes. For now I’m seeing if anyone here would like to help out. That is all <3

I just googled tru_vada and it said brief character appearing on HX in the summer of 2014. Known for quick wit and impressive blog posts. Some speculate he could be connected with tree15 or justfontaine13.
|
|
Yeah I don’t have time for your sarcastic remarks. I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Keytruda Pembrolizumab is a medication for recovering cancer patients, so it’s not a joke. I’m asking for help, not rude and “witty” remarks. If you don’t have anything nice or encouraging to say, don’t leave a comment.
|
|
Why would you think hx, would be a good place to ask advise?? LMAO
|
|
+1 ^ yeah, what he said !
|

Daisy, I'm not in a position where I can donate right now, but I'm happy to hear about your remission. Best of luck to you!

Congrats. A lot of hard work there.
Careful what you read here lol.
FIRST - you and the PharmD contact Merck to see what PAP programs they offer directly which may or may not eliminate all/some cost.
That therapy is not new but the indication for CC is which is why payors may be slow. Are there any current Keytruda trials you can be enrolled in?
Regarding Insurance - you should have applied for disability right when this started and you would eventually be forced into Medicare. So apply if you have not. Ideally get on Medicaid if you can ASAP. Varies by state but that shit will pay 100% in many states, until they boot you to Medicare eventually, but that is 25 months before they do that. Medicare will usually just follow you as a standard medication user (chemo or other) and 20% should/would be your max - get Part A and B.
All that other shit posted does not apply to your situation other than fundraising. Lastly, consider working with one of the Universities (if you are not already) as they have better options for indigent and underinsured - they just don't collect lol.

You guys I don’t mean to be rude, but if you read my WHOLE post then you would understand what I am asking for. Several of your comments don’t make sense because it contradicts what I wrote in my post. PLEASE everyone from now on if you’re going to comment, READ THE WHOLE POST before you do so. Below I am responding back to these users because they didn’t read the whole post and their comments don’t make sense or contradict what I wrote in my original post. I don’t mean to offend anyone, I’m just making things clear for everyone.
1) @angler1 and @gripman I AM NOT ADVERTISING. I am asking from my old HX community for donations because this is familiar territory and I know a lot of nice gentlemen and women are generous and nice on here.
2) @bird THANK YOU! I appreciate it!
3) @prettychynna I know right? Thanks girl.
4) @keyorisha I ALREADY HAVE MEDI-CAL FOR INSURANCE. And I went with medi-cal because apparently patients with stage 4 cervical cancer automatically get signed up for medi-cal. I didn’t know that at first. And actually medi-cal covers ALL bills, doc visits, procedures, and MOST medications. The only medications it doesn’t cover are brand new ones that just came out on the market. As stated in my post I already have insurance, it’s because this medication: Keytruda Pembrolizumab is pretty new, Medi-cal (my insurance) doesn’t cover it. Medi-cal doesn’t cover new medications that have just come out on the market. I ALSO HAVE SSI as I stated in my original post. I do not receive enough each month. It covers my HOA, cell phone bill, electric bill, groceries, and essentials. I barely have anything leftover after that and it’s hard to save any money in this situation.
5) @mmarblez Like I said in my last question response, I already have Medi-cal for insurance and it helps a lot except for brand new medications, which unfortunately Keytruda Pembrolizumab is. My doctor told me the reason why my insurance isn’t going to pay for it is because it is too new. That’s the exact reason he told me. I can’t do a trial because they are no longer doing them, I asked too while I was talking options with my doctor. Instead of disability I signed up for SSI because my sister who was helping me at the time said I would get more money with SSI to help me out. And lol yeah I’m being careful with what I read in here, it seems like people aren’t reading what I’m writing. Also i haven’t worked in over 2 years so I don’t think I will be eligible for the COBRA program. When I was working I was on HX as my main job. Before that I didn’t work in over a year and a half. Thank you though for trying to help.
6) @prostatespecialist This isn’t some mistake that I have cervical cancer. If you read my post then you would know I have been going to the hospital and getting radiation treatment and chemotherapy (a little too late to do the natural way). So there definitely isn’t mistaking that I had (cause I’m in remission now) stage 4 cervical cancer. I was in the hospital from Nov 2017 until Dec 2017, almost a whole month because I was bleeding out. If you read my whole post you would’ve known that me having stage 4 cervical cancer wasn’t a mistake.
So yeah... thank you. Thanks to the people who have donated. If you can find it in your hearts to donate please PayPal: witchontrial@gmail.com it would mean the world to me. Every amount counts, nothing is too small.

@prostatespecialist I forgot to add that I am a vegetarian and have been since I was 14. I took a 2 month break a few months before I found out I had cancer, but once I found out I had cancer I went back to being a vegetarian. I do appreciate you trying to help.

ATTENTION: I have finally made a gofundme. Since I no longer have a Facebook its going to be hard for me to share and post this. All I ask of you is to 1) Donate 2)If you cant donate, then please share this on your Facebook walls to spread the message. PLEASE! I need all the help I can get. So like I said, even if you cant donate, just posting this on your Facebook and spreading the news will be AMAZING and extremely helpful. Also, any amount makes a difference! No matter how small. It will really come a long way and I will really appreciate it.
The link is: www.gofundme/helplizkeepfightingcancer
Dont worry, it doesnt mention any of my involvement with HX. Also, my real name is Liz... I used Daisy as my handle. Just to clear that up if anyone was wondering. So please once again, now that I made a gofundme, please please donate! If you cant, please share on Facebook because I no longer have one. I deleted mine over 5 years ago! Thank you once again for your time.

Whoa I don’t know why my last comment got all weird like that. Please just read between the random upside down question marks and random symbols.
QUICK RECAP: I was just saying how I just made a gofundme page. I was asking two things.
1) PLEASE donate if you can. 2) If you can’t donate PLEASE share this with your friends or on your Facebook wall.
I no longer have a Facebook, I deleted it over 5 years ago so I can’t share on my own wall. I have limited places I can share my link, so it would mean the world to me if you guys could share it on your walls so the message can get spread around as much as possible! That would mean everything to me. Once again my link is: www.gofundme.com/helplizkeepfightingcancer
And like I said in my last post my real name is Liz... Daisy was my handle name, just in case anyone was confused. Thank you once again!

@homeshield
That comment was extremely rude and unnecessary. The medication has nothing to do with male genitalia and for you to just make fun and be rude is extremely sexist and disappointing. I have been battling cancer and if that was your way to try and make a joke, it wasn’t funny.
|
|
I'm just going to say this, as a health care professional, seeing people joke around or make rude comments about someone who is a cancer survivor is really messed up. I've seen what cancer can do. I've seen families go bankrupt trying to save loved ones. It's no laughing matter.
|
|
Heyduke is an asshole who deserves stage 4 cancer.
Fuck that puto
|
|
Firkins, I'm with you, daisy's message was loud and clear, but I guess you can't have any expectations here that some dipshit will have some sarcastic remark for a very serious situation.
She's not begging, simply asking and I know there are many great folks here with soft hearts that can spare a bit to help her out. The other asshats just need to STFU and listen to what their mommies told them when they were young, "If you don't have anything good to say, or contructive, don't say it"

@firkins and @sgv_brownbear
Thank you for your nice comments. I really appreciate them. It’s a breath of fresh air from all the rude, negative, or sarcastic comments. You guys are sweethearts <3

@taxartiste
Thank you for your positive comment. I agree, people should live by the golden rule “if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.”
|
|
Normally I don't comment on blog topics when people are ill, but after having a few dear people near me fight the big C, I have a little more heart. Good luck and I hope the remission lasts so that you can thrive again.

@sherkhan
Thank you, I really appreciate that. It means a lot. People can be so insensitive these days. They don’t realize that cancer, in whatever form is a big deal. They don’t know unless it happens to them or someone they love.
|
|
Hang in there sweet cheeks ….. sounds like you are fighting a good battle, positive thoughts and prayers your way.
|

@tight28
Thank you for the positive words, it means a lot! 💚

Hey guys!
I’m sorry for asking again, but please please donate if you can. I know there are a lot of nice generous gentlemen and women out there. I really need the help. I wouldn’t be asking if I didn’t.
I made a gofundme link which is: gofundme.com/helplizkeepfightingcancer
Gofundme does take a percentage from each donation so if you would like, you can send your donation to my PayPal: witchontrial@gmail.com
If you can’t donate then PLEASE share with your friends or on your Facebook wall. I deleted my own Facebook over 5 years ago so I can’t post on mine. I really just PLEASE need my voice to be heard and the message be spread.
Thank you for your time.... please find it in your hearts to help. The universe gave me a second chance at life.. I want to be able to stick around for the long haul.

@signalhill45
My doctor straight up told me that my insurance which is (medi-cal/cal optima) doesn’t cover it because the medication is too new. I have already called my insurance company to double check, and my doctor was correct. Another option for me was being a participant in a trial, but there are no longer any trials available. There are no other options for me besides trying to raise money and receive donations. My doctor does have the power to speak to my insurance and try to convince them to approve me which is what he and my team of doctors are doing. Trust me, I know what I’m talking about. I’ve been doing a lot of research myself, and when I’m posting I’m not just talking out of my ass.
|
|
I've had patients that require anti-seizure or blood thinners that cost them between $200-$900 a month. These are low income people who just make too much to qualify for Medi-cal. The system is set up to hurt people. Big pharma is in the pocket of politicians, and that hurts everyone.

Hey Daisy
I feel for ya. Just dealing with a Cancer issue in my family now and it is no easy task. Congrats on the remission and good luck on the fund raising. You should try to contact the drug company directly and have someone help you write a plea for help. They have people deal with these things and can usually provide some sort of assistance. I've heard that direct pleas from patients and families get better results than those from doctors.
|
|
@callvan
I’m sorry about your family member who has cancer. I wish them the best. I am actually going to be calling my doctor and ask them if that is an option today, and get the correct phone numbers that I would need to do that. Since you have a family member going through cancer you probably know how difficult things have been financially for them, unless they’re really well off then never mind. But if you could please make a donation to my gofundme that would mean the world to me. I haven’t had much luck yet. I’m not the most popular person in the world and don’t have many friends or family. Both of my parents have passed (my mom from colon cancer), and my only other family is my half brother and half sister who I’m not close with. I have a very small tight knit circle of friends, I’m mostly a lone wolf so it’s hard for me to spread my voice and message. The link to my gofundme is listed above and has more information.
I can post it again here: www.gofundme.com/helplizkeepfightingcancer
Any amount counts and would greatly be appreciated.
