Funny that Blue DIamond should mention New Mexico
There is a town out there near the Colorado border called Farmington with a huge Navajo population that just so happens to have a huge car wash and Auto Spa that just happens to be named "Blue DIamond"

Not an expert on the Amish, but I think BD is right. They operate on a cash basis, so they're not susceptible to foreclosures or repossessions in an economic downturn. Their farming communities are also relatively self-sufficient, so they are also less vulnerable to things like trade wars. Finally, like many traditional religious groups, they tend to help the less fortunate among their own ranks. The link has Weird Al Yankovic's perspective. Not planning on converting myself, but good luck to them and the rest of us.
