Although most U.S. officials argue that Russia’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election, use of a nerve agent on British soil and aggression in Ukraine and Syria have worsened relations, Trump instead faulted “U.S. foolishness and stupidity” in tweets Monday morning.”

This POSPOTUS is throwing the US under the Russian bus.

MAGA my ass!

Gotta love the people who keep forgetting about the Russian influence on our elections. You can argue geopolitics all you want, but it's pretty treasonous for this administration to overlook our Cold-War era enemy doing such a thing. Total silence on the Republicans part.

And spare us the "whataboutisms". Obama was a wuss when it came to Crimea. Great. What does that have to do with what's going on now with this administration?

Mr. EZ
"no actual votes were changed by the Russians"

No that we know of thus far, but they exploited the voter systems, and they had an influence over ad-buys. You don't give the Russians a pass for that.

I'm flattered you feel the need to respond to me to appease your insecurity, but I'd prefer to talk to adults who don't throw a hissy-fit, and who would rather engage a discussion. k thx.

There are ways of influencing an election other than ballot box tampering. If a foreign government donated significant funds to a US presidential candidate, it would not be acceptable (it would also be illegal). When Russia invested in social media, either through fake ads, fake websites, bots, or fake accounts, it was basically a big contribution to the Trump campaign, except it was “in-kind” and not cash. It was their intention to benefit Trump. Every fucking US intelligence agency came to that conclusion. At least be honest and don’t be a pussy about it - any of you right-wingers would be pitching a fit if the Ruskies has tried to sway the election in Clinton’s direction.

The IRA bought ads on various social media platforms, and though the amount was little, they managed to have far more outreach because they were designed for polarization.

"Were any of the emails that were hacked not true and did the Russians make them up?"
The investigation is ongoing still, but nothing indicates that.

"Did the Russians make up the collusion between the DNC and Hillary to screw Bernie?"
No that was real.

I'm not excusing Hillary's lost. I frankly don't care because I thought she was a cunt. This isn't about why Hillary lost. This is about the Russian's interfering with our elections. Enough with the whataboutisms. You don't excuse what the Russian's have done to us with a whataboutism with Hillary.

Mr. EZ. Nice whataboutisms. Seriously, do you actually know how to debate an issue without purposefully trying to distract from the point?

Mr.EZ
Yup. Congratulations on being guilty of it.

In 2016, 21 states were targeted, only a few were exploited. For those that were, records of roughly 75k voters from voter registrations in Illinois were stolen from the Russians. If there was enough taken from an individual, voters were notified. Illinois is the only state that had a successful breach.

There's records of them attempting to get into the vote tallying software, as well as port scanning, and other exploit attempts.
