Dude -- the US elected a Russian asset to be president. He proved how patriotic he was by inviting Russian spies to critique the investigations of 17 different US intelligence agencies. Putin bought and paid for Trump and he won by 70 thousand votes that flipped the electoral college in his favor even though he lost the popular vote. It is time for Americans to get over democracy and embrace Russia.

I don’t think half the Democrats know that if Trump is impeached and then removed from office that Pence will become President. Unless they think Pence is Hunter Pence of the SF Giants.
Putin is manipulating Trump via Trump's huge but fragile ego. Trump denies any possibility his win in 2016 was the result of anything except his own really great mind and his amazing charisma and his fantastic leadership of 10,000% of the people. Any hint of Russian interference in American opinion, aimed at electing him, is something he will always deny.
So Putin tells him in phone calls, "Don't listen to them, Donald. They are trying to de-legitimize your rule of the country. They can't stand to see two strong men in such a wonderful relationship as ours. They are just jealous! They are trying to bring you down!" This all plays into Trump's ego and also plays on his paranoia.
I believe this is why Putin wanted Trump elected. Russian intelligence did an analysis, and they concluded Trump could be more easily manipulated to Russia's favor than Hillary Clinton. As simple as that.
Now, Trump is soft on Russia and is destabilizing our relationships with our allies, such as NATO.
