Yes... It is a cool city, and it's nickname is Fog City  It has a micro-climate all its own, as it is totally surrounded by water...
The Pacific Ocean is very cold and the air coming off of the ocean is thick and wet, so the city stays pretty cool all year round... Now it's not Chicago nor New York, but it's thick, cold and wet air is pretty much a constant factor day in and day out...
