I would love to check out the properties of every Democrat in Congress to find out how many of them have a fence around their property or even more so, an actual wall. They build a fence to keep others out, but it is OK for our country to let anyone come in....

Jazz, your comparison of a fence/wall around a Dem's property is pretty dumb (I'm trying to be nice this early into the year). Anyone who really wanted to could climb said fence/wall any time. See, walls don't work.

You have seen the prototypes of the wall, right?
Minimum of 30 feet high and estimates that it might be as tall as 55 feet. Yeah, go climbing that bad boy, and when you drop off the top even if you can climb it, that 55 foot fall will kill your bird ass.

They had Navy Seals and other Special Forces people try to scale the prototypes.
These walls would also be patrolled by drones and border patrol people as well.

The southern border is roughly 2000 miles long. Of that about 650 has been fenced at a cost of about 7 billion. Trump is not suggesting that 5 billion would cover the 1350 mile balance that needs to be finished is he?

No, he is asking for the areas most used and accessible. Portions of the border include very treacherous mountain areas and the Rio Grande makes up some of the border also.
If you recall, Trump had wanted $25 billion...so he has already compromised quite a bit down to the $5 billion.

Any basic engineer knows that is you have a wall of 50 foot high you need it to be inground at least 60 feet deep and twice as thick,if not more. Would be hell digging over 120 feet to get under a wall
