There may be some moar understanding but thinking they have a Cure = irresponsible and 
Zero credibility currently. Maybe down the road. There will likely never be a Cure for cancer as cancer is not one disease.
Finding the pathway or finding a target is great. Putting the two together, the challenge.

Well then you will not miss some random technique that has not been proven in any way shape or form in human studies.
While Pharma has its issues they will not suppress good meds like all these idiots pretend. They print money on these drugs and they need it to get their R&D investment back.

Cancer is a name that very poorly describes an large group of only loosely related diseases. Sciences find cure for a specific form of cancer but never cancer as a whole. Most people are way too stupid to understand the microbiologist so we just give it a generic name. There may come a time that the very rich will be able to avoid most of not all disease through DNA mapping and gene splicing.
