So burnsie you said he wouldn't get ten cents? NFL just settled with of course no comments from either side, also known as Trump non disclosure, for the collusion case. Want to bet it was a lot more than ten cents? Go kneelers!

ok sixd, here is how winning and losing works, the NFL paid Kap lots of money to drop his case, or do you doubt that? Kap wins, NFL loses, even trumpy would know that!

The NFL generated $14 billion in 2017 and their business plan has them moving to $25 billion by 2027.

They just wanted this case to go away. Less publicity, sealed agreement, Colin goes off in the sunset never more to be negative publicity to this cash cow.

Even if he got $80 million, that represents less than a half of a percent of total revenues. One time payment, he goes away and they get back to making $15 billion or more next year.

They didn't want their P&L out there for the general public to see.

I didn’t think he’d get a single cent, but the fact that he took a settlement doesn’t mean he was right about the collusion either.

It does mean his principles have a price tag though. Congrats to him for turning a career that was on the downward slope into a profit maker.

He played everyone. I tip my hat to him.

I believe the lawyers get a % of the settlement and if their is no settlement then they don't get paid. I think his skills are marginal, but there was no doubt collusion. Hell the Washington Redskins would have taken him near the end of the season with a playoff shot and no QB, but they did not.

People have given their lives so that he could protest his feelings by taking a knee.

* There instead of their

I do believe that he will get a shot, but still believe he is marginal at best. Eric Reid was part of the case and he has a contract with the Carolina Panthers now. For sure there is a shortage of player that can be effective in the NFL at the QB position. Although marginal he should be on a roster somewhere.

They gave Hunt another shot. This time with Cleveland. Interesting the NFL would welcome back a know beater of women while disparaging a man who quietly took a new in protest.

It’s a cost/benefit decision, that doesn’t equal collusion.

Did the headache he brought with him outweigh his value as a quarterback?

Eric Reid getting picked up by the Panthers proved there wasn’t collusion, and his value as a player outweighed any negative press he might have brought.

If Mahommes had pissed on the American Flag at halftime on National TV and the Chiefs had cut him, he would have been picked up the next day by another team. It’s not about collusion, it’s about a cost/benefit analysis.

The First Amendment protects speech from infringement by the government.

It does not guarantee the right to protest in the workplace.

@Schubert
I can see you are not getting it
Atheletes in professional sports are not like employees of regular workplace.
They are treated by the American public as celebrities and they make statements in many ways.
If you didn’t like the kneeling statement and didn’t agree with it, doesn’t make it wrong.
Get over it!

Why should he donate what ever he gets?
He lost his job because the NFL got pressured not to let him in.
and that’s why he had sued in the first place.
I’m not sure how much he has now, but in the past he was involved with the community actively as a participant and donor.

In 2017 Kap opted out of his contract with the 49ers to become a free agent.

If he had stayed with the niners, he would have made $14.9 million.

If he had wanted to stay in the NFL, he could have.

If Kap wanted to go on a national tour protesting a certain type of brutality, that would be just fine. His right. The US Constitution allows us open expression, free from government interference or oppression.

However, the beloved document does not obligate any other parties, like the NFL, to provide him a soapbox for that expression. - Just like my employer has no obligation to allow me to put a personal blog up on their website. It is THEIR website, not my personal stage for expression.

Kaps' employer had a right to put on a show for people, called NFL football. He upstaged their show, willfully and repeatedly.

If somebody in any other type of TV show went off-script repeatedly, they would get fired and we would think nothing of it. That is essentially what Kap did.

Whether the individual agrees or disagrees with Kap's view point is really beside the point. The real point is whether he had a right to hijack NFL games to MAKE his point. I don't believe he did, even though I agree with at least some of the point he was making.

I wish him well in the future, but I have no problem with the NFL not wanting him anymore.

They should go their separate ways in peace.

Kap's agent should be the one taking the heat. He should have told Kap to stay in his contract with the Niner's not test free agency. The agent was the greedy one, hoping for a bigger payday for his client and NOT recognizing that Kap was a terrible 'distraction' that most clubs wouldn't want to bring upon themselves.

Kap rolled the dice and lost. His and his agent's bad choice. We all make choices in our lives and have to live with them.

Whatever he got, he lost more. Any attorney fees he had to pay on this lawsuit are not deductible on his taxes, so that's likely a huge cost and most likely the settlement called on each party to pay their own fees.

He lost in other ways and still has no job.

NFL means not for long, so whatever money he has = Not For Long.

He'll be broke by 40 is my guess.

Idiots keep confusing kneeling as an active player, with being blacklisting out of the league. The NFL colluded against Kaep and when the arbitrator ruled against the NFL in Kaep's favor, the league was forced to settle for 60 to 80 million, versus all of their dirty laundry becoming public record...
