Cool. I hope he does.
They’re saying that the Calico train at Knott’s is gonna be faster than the “bullet train” 🚂💨💨💨💨

Almost the stupidest thing ever.
Since a lot of Mexicans live in California, i guess Mexico is going to pay for the wall after all.
Mexico is gunna pay for the high speed rail!
One hundred billion dollars ( it will cost triple that ) to build a high speed rail system. LOL.
We can’t fix the pot holes I 5 freeway !
mexicans still think they own ca, and the leaders here seem to agree
How did you know we can't read. Dammit
the feds gave ca 3.5 billion for the moonbeam express, they should just take it out of other monies promised to this rancid place
Trump just doesn't want to piss any more good money down the Brown Bullet Train Rat Hole.
Like Fubar said, Newsom already cancelled the portions that are going to be too costly. The project was a train between LA and SF....don't think we need a damn train between Bakersfield and Merced.
Money already wasted, putting another nickel into that project is a total folly.
If I am financing a project and you cancel the project...why do I have to give you any money? Or if you change the scope of the project, I get to decide if I am OK with that change....
This money would be much better spent on a High Speed Stripper Train between Burbank and The Strip.
Or to Juanita's house of ill repute in TJ.
Woot! 40 more miles of wall!
moonbeam express LOL
Also “BrownDoggle”
Thank you fubar!!!!!!
I only like looking at the pictures

The project was sold to voters with a projected cost of $40 billion in 2008.
In March 2018, the Authority revised its estimate from $77.3 billion up to $98.1 billion.
Yeah, California legislators know how to fuck things up better than most.
Trump is threatening to sue for misappropriations of funds.
Why would we ever want anyone in Gov held accountable?
The train was a piss poor idea to begin with. Anyone who had an ounce of brains would have known the costs to secure the land to actually make it from LA to SF would break the bank.
The voters in this state are stupid. They keep buying the costs presented by idiot politicians. The gas tax won't be just used for roads...
Actually, Gruesome didn’t cancel it exactly. He wants to complete it going from nowhere to nowhere.
No one has ever figured out how to build it into San Francisco or L. A.
i love it....nowhere to nowhere lol
I could not find the original articles that came out after Newsom’s original speech but the articles indicated that one of the reasons Newsom wanted to continue construction on the train even though it made no real fiscal sense was to avoid paying back 3.5 billion to the Federal government. This was written prior to Trump demanding the money be repaid.
It sounds like most of Newsom’s current posturing is an attempt to cover up the state’s total incompetency and corruption on this train to nowhere.
Below are a couple of other articles on the subject.

If we wanna get the highways fixed all we have to do is raise the tax on gasoline.
I'm sure that money will go to the right places.
And he should have canceled it.... We took the money and aren't building the train ...
Sister Jamey. No way Jose or hose b does a politician misappropriate or channel funds?
These gentlemen are the salt of the Earth. Without their brilliance California could be in financial trouble.
Of course I don't wanna alienate anyone.
