The only people who are anti-vaccine are people lucky enough to live somewhere that they’ve never seen how these diseases ravish a person. I don’t think you’ll ever find an immigrant from some third world location, that has experienced smallpox, measles, or other diseases that are easily preventable with vaccines saying no thanks, I don’t want them for my loved ones.

The question about why people give a shit about anti-vaccers that have had vaccines is pretty easy.
Thier choice is usually extended to those they are charged with caring for that don’t have a choice.
Also, it destroys the “herd immunity” of a community. In every population there is a small percentage of people with compromised immune systems that cannot be vaccinated. They are protected by majority that are vaccinated. When enough people stop getting vaccinated that herd immunity is gone, and those people are vulnerable. Oh, and since they already have compromised immune systems, disease like the measles, which are treatable even if you do get them, can be life threatening.
KO - I understand you have been thru an experience most here will never have to share. But just because you made it thru doesn’t mean everyone would be that lucky.
