The only thing I disagree with is the statement about teachers. I taught physics in the inner city of Detroit and it was the easiest job I ever had. Still they should be paid a middle class wage. They rest is common sense and we do just about all of it up herein Canada.
One thing trumps never advocate as far as immigration control is mailing the employers. If every employee had to spend a week in jail for every undocumented worker they had the problem would be solved overnight.

Would like to suggest that newspapers are no better source of unbiased reporting than cable channels. Everyone has an agenda.
Yes, climate change is real. Our climate has been constantly changing since the dawn of time. Remember much of North America was once covered by glaciers which receded thousands of years ago. They seem to be continuing that trend lately.
Where politicians go off the rails is pushing the preposterous idea that climate change is caused by human activity, burning fossil fuels and cow farts.
Plant life has a process called photosynthesis, where the plant uses carbon dioxide for its growth with waste materials consisting of water and oxygen. If the earth is warming, plant life will increase, keeping oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in balance.
But I could be wrong.

The huge increase in carbon dioxide is in the UPPER atmosphere. Up there, it acts as a greenhouse gas, but does no good to the plants way down on the ground. Down here, where we are, the CO2 level is the same. Good thing, or else we would all be dead.
Yes, the Earth's climate has changed through 4 billion years of history. But there is no discernible cause for the current great increase in upper atmosphere CO2 except for the human burning of wood, coal, gas, and other fuels. Other things can cause it, but none of those are happening right now.
I am confident that if scientists said the solution for climate change was lower taxes, all the people who are current climate change deniers would be on board in a second.
