If they just perform a toxicology test on the injured horses it would explain everything.

Whats in cat food?

Nac, your avatar is giving me heart burn. A change in scenery would be appreciated. (oh, and shut the f up Copy Cat. Pay me what you owe.)

Thought you liked grubs and worms, why are you concerned about high dollar horse meat

It's like someone's bumping off fellow animal kingdom critters. Actually Face, I'm just worried about the purity of the sport of kings. Wouldn't want no low life elements thinking they could influence the outcome of racing.

Grump tox. testing doesn't always tell you everything you want to know. We once did a full panel of tests on an empty Jack Daniel's bottle and the report just said "old empty piece of shit." Hell, I already knew that.

Racing has been cancelled indefinitely at Sants Anita it was announced today. No racing this weekend so no Big Cap and no big 3 year old prep for Kentucky Derby either . Top soil experts from around the country are coming in to see why track is so dangerous.

Most of the horses have died during morning workouts, when it is colder and with all the rain the track isn't as safe.
|
|
21 horses dead since Dec 26th both during racing and during workouts. These horses are are all highly insured so take that for what it's worth. It's a great sport that I love participating in, but it has a ton of shady characters surrounding it and the last thing it needs is giving the PETA crowd ammunition.

After SA officials did their own analysis of the track and declared it safe for racing...and then another horse dies. Do you get the feeling SA just wanted to keep the windows open? Nahhhhhh, they'd never do that. Like the NFL doesn't think CTE is an issue.

Six feet under??? Sorry, that was below the belt...but I couldn't resist.

I suspect that if the rains ever let up they will make up some lost races and finish their long meet. I doubt it will be too long. Some top horses might have to ship to other tracks however. More rain tomorrow.

Perhaps an outside investigation is needed. Not just racing insiders. Animal cruelty is a crime. U

I think like a long time ago, they were giving the horses coke to make them run faster...that's why
they're starting a new program down there called "Just say Nay"..

Look SA is late on paying the vig. So until they make good, horses will die.
SA gets shut down, the place is turned into a super mall the Family gets a hefty 10%. Its a win win.

Grump's been watching too much Sopranos.
TNBE about to be Nay'd too (won't he ever learn?)
