@heliman: I said the same thing to a friend who informed me that pancreatic is one of the hardest cancers to detect. Unless they're looking for it, they'd never find it.
By contrast, when I had lymphoma, the tumors were visible, so it was very easy to find. It's (bad) luck of the draw.
This sucks so hard. Trebek was a father figure to me. So was Leonard Nimoy. Gods help me if anything happens to Patrick Stewart.

Pancreatic cancer typically spreads rapidly to nearby organs. It is seldom detected in its early stages.

He COULD get his 3 year contract finished. Severely doubtful - he could get 3 months.
Rare but have seen a few get to 4 years.
Like I said in other posts, there is a reason every month is Breast Cancer month lol. Why you see pink everywhere and not purple! Purple ribbon folks do not have much therapy to assist.
