Very very few will be granted asylum as the rules have been tightened. They risk detention and separation from their children. They will face bayonets not compassion and legality. They are not illegal aliens as under accepted International law it is understood that victims will flee violence and persecution and under circumstances they are legally entitled to asylum.
The path they are taking is really no different than that of our ancestors. People who are willing to face detention and hatred yet still march ahead
might have something to offer this country.
