Tee, no different college crowd in Thousand Oaks than SB. We had our own college shooter that drove thru IV in his new BMW shooting at people. After that shooting Assembly Bill 1014 passed allowing family members of someone who appears to be experiencing mental instability to request a temporary court order barring that person from buying or accessing firearms and requiring them to give up any guns already in their possession. After reading about this guy his instability and the fights with his Mom, I wondering why wasn't this enforced?

I think he was medically evaluated after an incident, but was not held for further psychiatric help. Therefore he was allowed to purchase a handgun afterwards.

So let me get this straight, a 28 year old divorced unemployed ex-Marine with PTSD living with his Mom and screaming and fighting with her, including kicking in walls, is some how not considered a psychiatric threat to himself or others? - Really WTF
