To: NOTSOFAST..I agree with you on that. It should be illegal. I have worked jobs in the past that were open on major holidays. To be fair they made it mandatory for all of us to come to work that day, however the good part about that was, because we were so overstaffed.. not only was our shift like only 3 or 4 hours, but we also got paid Holiday pay which I believe was Double? Time and a half is overtime, correct? So, I didn't really mind it too much, I was still able to make it to our family's annual Thanksgiving party and make a full day's pay in just a half of a day. Those were the days.. so simple. So pure.
