Speaking about a public hanging is that inherently racist? Why does the public hanging automatically trigger leftists into saying it's racist? Lynchings were different. They were of blacks usually for no other reason than their skin color, they were done in private mostly secretly out in the woods...but
The old west had public hangings. In fact, the City of Placeville, CA is known as "OLD HANGTOWN" because it was the county seat, where the courthouse was. When the judge "hereby sentences you to hang by the neck until you are dead..." that happened right outside, either from the tree or the water tower. There's even a noose still hanging from the tree to this day! No regard to color...you did the crime? You hang!
To my knowledge, there was NEVER a public hanging of a black man in Placerville. So how is it that speaking of "a public hanging" is inherently racist?
I wish we still had public executions. It would serve to reduce capital crimes.

He calls it Nationalism now, but in an America that was founded on slavery and the genocide of Native Americans it can have no other meaning really. Look no further than his rapist comments, to build a wall, to Colin Kapernick, LeBron and Charlottesville. Hanging in the South has only meant one thing and that is the lynching of black men.

how is saying 'if a supporter asked me to a public hanging, i'll sit on the first row' racist? it's not indicating the skin color of the person being hanged at all. or is there now an implied 'the person being hanged is always black? and what' the public hanging for? a capital crime? how is this different from lethal injection? the person is dead either way. so if it's a state enacted capital punishment being carried out, the person being put to death has gone through all the processes of any other execution. what difference does it make if a senator is in the front row
