My grandfather didnt have a choice when he was shipped off to Luzon as part of the failed resistance against Imperial Japan, captured, tortured as part of the Bataan Death March & and thrown in concentration camps to almost starve to death and lose part of his hearing and eyesight.
The crazy part is if he didnt go through that suffering he never would have met my grandmother in the hospital when he got back to the US.
For that Im willing to put my life in the line for this country as well.

The protests in Portland have been mostly confined to a small 4 block area with a few one time protests happening at other location such as the Police Union in NE Portland. The PBB has a long history of it's members associating with white supremacist's, this has lead to the PBB not being able to find enough people to work for them which is making the situation even worse.
Despite being mostly liberal in Portland and the Willamette valley Oregon was founded as a "No Blacks Allowed" state and that legacy lives on in many ways. During the 20's the KKK actually ran Oregon for awhile.
