Did you watch the match? US outclassed Spain by dominating possession and taking far more shots at goal. Spain's reckless tackling is what led to the penalties. There must have been 20 fouls called against Spain during the match.
The real match is this friday when US faces France. If US gets by France, then this tournament is a done deal.
