You know silicone replacement parts aren't good for you. Didn't you read the recent nine blogs about this. Wait til your car starts getting auto-immune disease symptoms...just sayin

and silicone makes great lures too, to catch pesky fish

STOP STALKIN ME!

You both suck. Here I am trying to help out the windshield wiper buying public and you make the blog about something else. Peoples lives are at risk if they are driving and their windshield wipers are not working properly. They could kill themselves, maim themselves, horribly disfigure themselves to the point that they do not recognize themselves in a mirror all because of faulty windshield wipers. They could also do the same to a unsuspecting innocent they hit. You both need to stop making all the blogs about yourselves. Thanks.

Wiper blades don't wear out in SoCal; they just get UV'd to the point they lose elasticity and fail to squeegee the water off your windshield. Costco has just about every length for half the price of auto parts stores.
I don't bother with silicone; rubber works fine for me, but I gave up replacing them every year and just keep them inside the car until it rains, then put them on. No chronic UV exposure and I never have to replace them.
It rains so rarely here that even in a wet winter, you might put them on in November and take them off in March, extending the life of your wiper blades considerably.

^^^^ "" I gave up replacing them every year and just keep them inside the car until it rains, then put them on""
You never have to use your wipers when driving into the setting or rising sun and there is dirt on your windshield and you use your wipers to clean your windshield?.

Pretty rarely, cuz I clean the windshield at every fill up. OCD's a mofo.

|
Don't forget to clean the inside of your windshield....

So Loki is against fake tiitty wipers?
|
|
Sea gulls = lots of shit on windshields here on the coast. But if you live on the Bay you only worry about Bagels that make you FAT
|

Loki you never had a unexpected large splat against your windshield? I really do not think removing your wiper blades makes any sense at all. I run my blades about 3 times a week driving to work I clean my windshield too every time i fill up and at home I clean it every Sunday with the foam cleaner, inside and out. I really can not see how you can remove them in the non-rainy season.

if you get killed by a dirty windshield it's fate or Darwinism

If I need to use them I just pull over, grab 'em from under the seats, and put them on. No big.
