Uh oh. Here we go.
Obama doesn't speak much anymore but when he does its powerful. I hope George W. Bush makes a statement as well. This bullshit in not left vs. right its right vs.so very wrong.
He may not listen to Obama, but he'll listen to these guys...
Dude did you really posted a headline from the New York Post Do you know anything about that paper lol
......We won't hold our breath waiting to see Republicans ban any guns.
Why ban the instruments of freedom?
The Rifle
The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of it's own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes. But there are more good men than evil, and while the latter can not be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles.
Author Jeff Cooper
The NRA’s CEO, Wayne LaPierre
The NRA released a statement last week maintaining its long-held position that “banning guns from law-abiding Americans, based on the criminal act of a madman, will do nothing to prevent future attacks.”
Yes, I do know about that paper. It's Murdoch conservative tabloid, which is why that headline and editorial is so unusual.
When that was written they didn't make AR-15's
Its not about banning all guns and you know that. Its about banning military instruments of war.
And stupid people think that the AR in AR-15 stands for Assault Rifle. This semi automatic rifle was patented by a ArmaLite thus the AR. They sold the patent and trademarks to Colt. The patent has expired, but Colt still holds the trademark rights to AR-15.
When that was written they were shooting muskets.
Does the exact name of the automatic riffle really matter?
Any gun that can kill a lot of people in under a minute should be banned.
The Ohio shooter injured 20 and killed 9 in under 30 seconds.
When people make comments about wanting to ban a simple semi automatic rifle and NOT a real assault weapon, which would be like the M-16 that has a fully automatic capability or 3 round burst per trigger pull.
The AR 15 is NOT an automatic weapon...it is semi automatic....you have to pull the trigger to fire each round......
I can fire a pistol just as quickly as an AR-15
We have far too many people who know NOTHING about firearms wanting to make decisions about them.
^distraction^
You think the people planning funerals in Ohio and El Paso could give a fuck about the name and model of the gun. They know their love ones were needlessly slaughter in seconds.
Is that a threat you just posted?
Did you ever come up with a reply about what Trump said that was racist?
Sad the way some people want to control the lives of others. What i have and what i do with it are my bidness. No one elses.
^^^^^Illogical person.
No, they are grieving all the same. But the gunman could have carried two pistols with extra clips and had the same result in mass murder. The point we are trying to make is that automatic rifles are banned already. People who know nothing are demanding the banning of AR-15 type weapons without knowing anything with which they are talking about.
We need to make sure the EXISTING weapon permit screening is followed.
But we also need to address mental illness problems in this country. The crazies can use a vehicle, a machete, or any other 'weapon' and accomplish their goal.
think that dude should be taken out?
oops, my comment was for Dudelebowski
the press is covering for the dems, who think everyone is so stupid they'll believe every word they say
they think any semi auto that's painted black is an assault rifle
fully automatics are assault guns and are for the most part not legal in 11 states, that means they are legal in 39 states and require real ATF backround checks which currently take about a year
back in the 80's when I went through mine, they took about 3-6 mo

He is s Democrat. You know, put words in other people’s mouths or only repeat part of the quote and omit minor details such as , “And I’m not talking about the White Supremacists or Neo Nazi’s”
Just the small talk

The news reported Ohio shooter fired off 100 rounds in 30 seconds, and sadly had the accuracy to do as much carnage as he did.
While I don't doubt he had large cap magazines and fired off that many rounds, seems like a lot of accurate rounds in a short amount of time for a semi auto.
It's possible, but not sure I could do it.
The incidents were definitely ALL Trumps fault Dude. Are you something like Bart Simpson? Do you ride a skateboard Dude ? Did you Peak in High School Dude ?
Trump was not mentioned in Obama's statement.
Obama who ?
I don't know what news reported 100 rounds....the news I heard indicated 41 rounds (casings that were found at the scene)
He had an extended magazine that could hold 100 rounds.
flash....when in a crowded room or area, just point and shoot....the round will probably hit someone, even a distance away,.
Of course, not all of those hospitalized were due to gunshot wounds....many were injuries from being bumped or trampled.
The Bill of Rights has never been absolute as you cannot yell fire in a crowded theatre, hate speech bans have been upheld.(1st Amendment) Likewise with the 2Nd Amendment bans on saw off shotguns and high capacity magazines etc have been upheld, etc.
those hundred round magazines, fully loaded are very heavy by themselves, mounted on a 7-9 pound rifle, is a lot to handle accurately
The world is going to shit

In high school, the Dayton shooter had a "kill list" and a "rape list." He was troubled and had mental problems. And now several years later the government allowed him to pass a background check and purchase a gun.
That's not a gun problem, that's a government problem.
Owning a gun is a natural right, not granted by men but granted by God -- the same as free speech, free press, free religion, etc.
HIPPA laws prohibit the access of mental health records in a background check. That's absurd.
Mental health is the issue here. We are getting crazier as a nation. When I was a kid, the only homeless were down on skid row...now there are people in tents camping less than a block from my million dollar neighborhood.
Loosen HIPPA privacy laws to allow background checks into mental and physical health. Strengthen reporting requirements and prevent the purchase of guns by cocksuckers who maintained kill and rape lists.
And executed every last motherfucker who opens up in a crowded mall, store, street, etc. And do it by firing squad, and put the video of the execution on the internet for all of these Call of Duty playing pussies to see what will happen to them in the real world.
Fubar. You are right. Hate speech can only be prosecuted if the speech is directed to inciting people to break the law and likely to do so. But in California and other states criminal threats can be felonies even if you never intended to carry them out . The crowded theatre was a limit on speech likely to or would cause a panic. Seems they are punishing the speech on those 1st amendment cases.
Our problem is that people are not being held responsible for their actions.....
You can come across the border illegally and nothing happens.
You can break whatever laws you feel and odds are you won't be caught and if caught might not be tried or convicted.
Sentencing is dumbed down so people serve far less time.
We have no death penalty to speak of....so these nut jobs know they can just spend their lives getting 3 meals a day and having a pretty decent life.
Obscenity, libel and slander are not protected either yet they are forms of banning speech.
But each of those involves due process and getting a jury or judge to agree with your position....
Not a guaranteed right like those granted by Bill of Rights and Constitution.
