Congrats!! 🎉

Great decision. Stock to being a non smoker. Life is so much better without that nasty habit.
I quit after 30 years of smoking by using nicotine gum. It worked well and I never have any desire to go back

Cold Turkey
No fuckin patch,no nothing.
Been smoke free for 7 years.

Still smoke meat right ??

This book. I've given out 10 copies through the years. I was so addicted I tried probably 40 times to quit and now I'm 13 years nicotine free. Hard to believe I smoked so heavily for so long.

vaping is still feeding your nicotine habit which may not be ideal but as you see it is a hell of a lot better than cigarettes.
on another topic, I don't understand women that are marketing themselves to men but charge a fee ($2 in your case) just to see your face which is usually the deciding factor in a mans decision on which woman to call.
just my 2¢

and just FYI - Alan Carr died from lung cancer
it is a sad fact that if you quit smoking, you can still get lung cancer years later. of course if you get lung cancer while you are still smoking, then there's really no reason to stop

Probably would have been better in a PM to her.
Way to put her on blast.
Hell, you should probably post a separate blog calling out all girls for charging for pics.
You realize that is how most of them acquire points right? And standard operating procedures around here.

@oldbaldy
Did you ever think maybe some woman don’t want to show there face because they have regular lives as well?? Just like why the majority of guys on here don’t include pics of themselves lol
I’m sure she’s a beautiful as you would imagine her to be 💙

crane - sorry to hear about your COPD
that's a bitch and seems like a cruel joke that after a person makes the nearly superhuman job of quitting, that's when reality comes calling to bite you in the ass for the 50 years of tobacco consuption
I truly wish you well but that is my point about vaping - it ain't a great thing, butt it's so much better than cigarettes.
god bless everyone and while it may not be politically correct, I will continue to vape these:

Quitting smoking was probably the single most important thing you could have done to improve your health and longevity! Now you will feel better, look better, smell better and I suspect be happier with yourself for finally ridding yourself of those cigs!
I was lucky as I never was a chain smoker. After a decade of smoking I just decided I wanted to quit the nasty habit and I was able to do it on my second try. I have never looked back.

|
I quit by chewing nicotine gum for 5 days and then switched to sugarless gum for a time after that.
If your lungs are badly scarred then the sooner you get away from smoking as well as vaping the better you will be. The scarred lungs are what eventually killed my dad although I believe most of the damage to his lungs was caused in an industrial setting rather than from smoking.

Congrats! I love non-smoking ladies.
|
|
best way to quit is to never have started..
|
|
I recommend Copenhagen Long Cut, either straight or wintergreen, to help with the cravings.

used to smoke...
then got married...
smoker. her parents are smokers.
when you are paying for smokers and their habits,
the pocketbook gets hit hard!
and the alcohol! oh crap!
i quit smoking and drinking because i couldn't afford it. but they didn't quit for a long time...
|
|
Use to...now 38 years free of that awful habit@\!
|
|
Congrats on defeating the smoking habit!!
You mentioned the damage it does to your lungs!
The good news that once you quit smoking, the damage you caused will start to reverse itself!

Both my parents have COPD. Dad went in for a lung biopsy, and they took half a lung. He is on air 24/7 now. He can't work, doesn't qualify for disability, and only gets $16 for Calfresh a month. They both smoked over 50 years. I'm going further in debt trying to help. I smoked, and quit for good in 2008.
Vaping is not better than cigarettes, my daughter knows a few people dying from it. My best advice is to never start. If someone truly wants to quit you can, just stay away from smokers for a while and don't have any cigarettes near you. Don't drink alcohol if it makes you want to smoke.
Congratulations to everyone who has quit! It's not easy, and you may gain some weight, but it's worth it. Replace it with a habit that's good for you.

Congrats!! Good job

My grandpa died of lung cancer and I believe that is what made me stay away from them, and I'm so glad I did because I've always had a really addictive personality. And plus I can't stand the smell cigarettes leave behind!
Congratulations girly! That is a major accomplishment, now lets tackle that vaping!!!!
|
|
Congrats to all of you who've quit. Best of health to you.

I read that NAC supplements will prevent addictive cravings. It works well for gambling (and is prescribed by a shrink I know for it), but I hear it's also good for breaking the smoking habit.
You can buy it on Amazon if you want to give it a try.
|
|
That's amazing
I am so proud of you and I love that you're on this journey of better health
Look up ashwagandha .. supposed to be great for stress, SEX, anxiety, and more

accupuncture is a help with stopping smoking. know of a number of people on one of the fire departments who stopped with that treatment. also worked for weight loss.
|
|
Smoked for 30 years and quit 16 years ago. I'm 66 but my doc did a chest x-ray at age 60 (10 years of no smoking) and he said my lungs were that of someone who had never smoked. He said that normally takes 7-10 years.
Quitting was the best thing I ever did.

|
Congratulations, Babe!!!
Baby steps.
Hugs!!
