Absolutely unreal it is so cool the whole entire sky is like flashing and orange I suppose if you look towards I'm not sure what direction it is but I would think it's towards Newport if you look that direction you'll see the lights flashing in the sky it's all orange and I swear to God you'll see it probably on the news tomorrow but if you look right now you'll be able to see it for yourself it's really cool so hopefully somebody sees this and hopefully they get to see the Northern Lights

Nice!

Hmm.... Something Unusual about this , as far as I know the Northern Lights can not be seen this far south.

Okay so I looked it up just now online to see if anybody else had seen it.... you know ,and post pictures or something like that and I can't seem to find anything online that would reference to what I saw last night. in fact ,there was nothing saying anything about the lights last night in the sky and they were basically... it was orange flashing lights in one area -one general area- and it just kept flashing and flashing and it was orange. so it was really strange. I'd say it was like around 1am I'm not sure and I have it all on video. did anybody else see that? Because there's nothing online saying anything about it so I'm just wondering if it was even the northern lights or not maybe it was just something else but it was absolutely spectacular I don't know what it was though

Had you consumed any adult beverages prior to your observation....LOL
Could be the Navy playing war games off the coast.

I saw an episode of GI Joe last week where Cobra tried using the ions from the northern lights to melt the polar ice cap and causing the sea level to rise 100 feet and flood all coastal cities. Luckily Hamhawk and Duke defeated Destro and stopped Cobra's evil plans.

They’re usually green, not orange. We’re too far south to see them.

Thanks to a geomagnetic storm, you'll be able to catch a glimpse of the northern lights across the northern United States this Labor Day weekend.
Pending a cloud-free night, the light phenomenon will be visible along the northern border of the U.S. from Washington to Maine on Saturday and Sunday, with the peak on Sunday, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association. People in parts of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, New York, Vermont, and Maine could all be in for the show!

i can see flashing lights,
explosions in the sky,
blue, green, red, yellow, orange...
every night!
same time.
Disneyland fireworks.
nearby neighbors hate it.
dust. smoke. odor. noise.
crying whining pets.
it won't stop.
Disney owns Anaheim.

Jazz I had a witness with me that saw it too plus plenty of video from it happening. I keep trying to screen shot the flashes of light so I can post it But it's extremely difficult. I'll keep trying tho
But did the witness also consume those adult beverages....LOL.

I saw the exact same thing driving from Costa Mesa to Lake Forest around the same time as Melissa.

small businesses losing their leases.
same with small motels. look at all the big hotels going up. Disney changes landscape slowly. you wouldn't know it.
Disney's plan to suck all your cash,
burn up your credit cards.
Walt would be so sad.
you need a scholarship for a family to attend.

I doubt what OP saw were northern lights. I’ve seen them myself and they don’t flash. They’re fairly constant and just kinda glow and shimmer. I’m pretty sure we’re too far south to see them.

I'm in Newport

Jazz it's not funny

@SweetMelissa
those orange flashes in the night sky are nothing more than your alien family reminding, you that, you have to check in at underground facility 636 to have your annually scheduled checkup.

last night I was driving in AZ, and all the way from Flagstaff til the California border there was this crazy lightning storm
Reports say the furthest south someone saw the northern lights on the west coast was Puget Sound, still quite a ways north from Newport.
When I drove through Vacaville last summer, I swear, I too saw Northern lights. It was weird at every intersection there where northern lights.
Lol. I did look up on the map where they were coming from and the only place that is beyond the mountains is like you know the ocean and then Antarctica right in between there's like a little island called the compartmente militaria Guadalupe so could have been like they were fighting on that little island who knows maybe it was on fire and they were good for shooting off gunfire and lighting up the night or something but it was something and yeah I don't think I'll see you two ever again but it was strange definitely something you don't see everyday but it wasn't the northern lights for the record
See it*
you can’t see northern lights without a camera.
You can't see northern lights if you're facing San Diego.

Check the old news stories on line. There was a big lightning storm in the desert, Palm Springs area, that came with a rain storm. You can see the lightning flashes reflect the outline of the large billowing storm clouds. I've seen an Aurora Borealis. The light does not flash, it is somewhat transparent, is constant and seems to flow almost like fingers of water or smoke. Thanks for the videos, though. It looks like you saw an incredible light show.

SweetMelissa I was just wanting to make sure both the witness and you were totally lucid and alert.
Smh jazz I must not be the Raging alcoholic that You seem to think I am in your head ..sorry about that
You were the one seeing orange flashing lights. I was just verifying that both you and the witness were sober and the lights were real.
know what I mean? like what is up with that?...unbelievable SMH
