Here is my theory. Since GOT likes to repeat history, I think they may do the same when it comes to the duel between Jon Snow and the Night's King.
The duel for the Tower Joy may just repeat itself.
I think Jon Snow will not be able to kill the Night's King without help. I think the duel in the God's Wood between Jon Snow and the Night's King will be a stalemate then suddenly Arya or Bran will stab the Night's King with the Cat's Paw Dagger in his back and eventually Jon will lop off the head of the Night's King.
In predicting who’s dying tonight I’m using the theory that GOT won’t let anyone be happy.
All the pairs that connected last week or were making plans for the future are going to get ruined.
Grey Worm, Gendry, Theon, Lady Mormont, The Hound, and Jorah are all good candidates to bite the big one in my opinion. Also, I think we could see one or two MAJOR characters get killed. Honestly, the only three majors I’m pretty sure will live thru the night will be Jon, Daenerys, and Cersei.
I was into the books before the tv show. R R however is so slow to come out with books I am glad the Tv show is at least trying to bring it home. If it's typical TV Dani will get the throne when the dead Dragon can't kill his mother. If it's Martin's way everyone will die except some middle level hero setting up more books. I think Martin is done writing though and just enjoying his wealth. If I were him I'd be seeing peeps from here on a daily basis!
Since were into predictive foreshadowing, there was a big significance in the song that Podrick choose to sing. It was "Jenny of Oldstone" who was the peasant girl who married Duncan Targaryen. He gave up his claim to the Iron Throne to marry her and was later killed at the fire in Summerhall, Jenny survived but continued to live in the burnt ruins. The song was written by Jon Snow's real father Rhaegar Targaryen...
Effect were awesome, however, for battle seasoned commanders they sure wasted the Dothraki for nothing... letting them charge against enemy they couldn't even see... but nice visuals...
The battle was...interesting. But WHY SEND THE DOTHRAKI FIRST?!!
They should’ve all been behind the Unsullied, preparing to attack once the wights started rolling on by.
Arya was amazing, I didn’t expect her to save everyone and I’m so glad she did.
if anybody actually thought about each character and what would happen...probably most would come up with something close to what happened what happened or significance of it
little hard to say she would take out a giant...we mostly forgot about them....she was going to do something big with her small but always mighty stature
i did not like the battle plan....kept thinking the blue eyed dragon was going to come in early and lay some fire down wiping out 2/3 of them before it even started
