Trump wants to start a war? Since he was elected, he has taken less military action, and advocated for less military involvement around the world. He has used the military less than every single President since Reagan.
And don't get started on Reagan, because Reagan's only little war was invading Grenada to rescue a bunch of American medical school students from marauding communist Cuban soldiers who had invaded the island.

So far Trump has not really expanded any wars so that is a plus ; but his claim he was going to bring troops home from Syria or Afghanistan never actually happened. We have a massive military budget in times when many of our adversaries came from the peasantry.
However with John Bolton in the administration Trumps policies may change for the worse. Bolton has been advocating for military intervention of some type in Iran for years. Venezuela has more oil reserves than any country in the hemisphere so a military incursion of some type might happen.
