The problem with the Re-make of the Twilight Zone is that it has as much subtlety and allegory compared to direct smack to the back of the head with a baseball bat.
The old Twilight Zone tried to make its point with subtlety through the use of allegory.
The new Jordan Peele's Twilight Zone dumbs down expectations. Instead of assuming the audience is somewhat intelligent and can follow along with hints and clues presented by the screenwriters when it comes to telling theme or parable of the episode. The new twilight zone just smacks you on the back of the head with the plot of the episode.
The Screenwriters just assumes that the large majority of its the audience have self lobotomized through a steady consumption of American Idol, America's Got Talent, and Survivor.
In the age of Trump who can blame them.

old ones were 30 min long and the new ones are unnecessarily 60 min long

Old ones didn’t have black people in them very often
Which is odd cause they were in black and white

Munk, all the black people on the shows were in white so you couldn't tell. Rod wasn't prejudiced.
