Forget PS... Lompoc is where it's at!
Thank, Angler, I will keep Lompoc in the list...
Just happen to pass by the area for a few days so anything or any places unique to this part of the country will do great for me just to keep out of boredom...
Just don't pick up hitchhikers in Lompoc. Especially old broads toting a large dog.
wasn't 4 bags and a dog?
Tahquitz Canyon. A 70 ' water fall around the corner that you can not see unless you hike back in there. Should be flowing good this time of year.
It is said that there are 7 falls on the way to Idyllwild if you keep going..

I am staying in one of the hotels in Indian Wells, anything that may be closer in the area?
Thanks.

Angler, PS is better. Free car finish sandblasting on your way in and out.
I go to PS for a week every year.
very boring,,,,,end up gambling at one of the casinos almost every night out of boredom.

Marbles, who cares what TV is in the hotel room. Especially if you have to buy a steak for it. You know you'll get ripped off in the end anyways.
If you're in Palm Springs on Thursday night they have a street fair on Palm Canyon Dr that's pretty cool. Plus all the businesses (bars, shops and restaurants) are surrounding it.
Go to The Nest. Great live music. Lots of cougars on the prowl. In Indian Wells.
Vicky’s Of Santa Fe has a good happy hour and live music most nights. In Indian Wells.
For a great hike, hit the Bump and Grind trail (go early to avoid the heat) in Palm Desert. Great views across the valley.
I know you want to stay close to Indian Wells...but if you decide on a day trip, run up the hill to Joshua Tree National Park. Beautiful hiking there as well.

Send him to Cathedral City...............so he can go bar hopping.
The JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort is a target rich environment if you get my drift.
With these suggestions, I have more expanded options now, Thanks a lot.
I always liked the one in scottsdale when I got family deals there but otherwise $500 night is a bit much
Tons of men in Cathedral City.
Went to Vicky's of Santa Fe and ordered a few menus, but Rotiserrie chicken was the only one I will order again, the others were OK, not exceptional, huge portion, though. The live music and the crowd was fun to watch, but anyone under 40-year-old might find the music too classical for their liking.

Dirty Cat why you sniffing for golfing women with your "problem hitting it long." And as that one lady on a blog said, your "severe slice to the right" could be rather embarrassing.
OMW to Palm Springs Aerial Tramway this afternoon, hopefully, it won't be too windy or cold up there...
Thanks to you all for these various suggested places including Tramway and Vicky's; definitely, worth checking these out, and now I am safely back home.
You may want to take at a peak at Toucan's Tiki Lounge on North Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs... Just be careful, you might get poked in your booty
