I notice there is a Best Buy E gift card mentioned on the page. What if I have an actual gift card to BB? Or Lowe’s? Or any of the other stores? Still work?

Works great!

I bought 2 $105 Home Depot gift cards a couple weeks ago and old system wouldn't take them.
Thought I was stuck with them as I use lowes.

Thanks for the fix

Does HX still get hit hard with processing fees on Gift Cards or is this new system reasonable?

Hate to see you lose 40% each transaction

^+1 for that catch and using your head. I see discounted gift cards sold on sites like eBay and Sam's and Costco often have gift cards for sale from various vendors for 20% or more off face value. Then, if you buy those gift cards using a rewards credit card, you save even more.

Is there a difference in the fee HX gets hit with if we use Visa or MC GCs rather than retail store cards?

If I'm reading it right, HX doesn't take bank cards like Visa, MC or Discover. What they're saying is that you can use bank cards to buy gift cards and HX can take the gift cards, Hone Depot, Walmart and others as payment.

Before this change the types of gift cards and the amounts you couold buy and use were limited and always in flux, often changing. Now, with this new setup, you can use a lot of dif gift cards with any value.

People may even have some gift cards lying around that they've bought or received for gifts. You can probably convert those now to FXP under this new system.

The guy up there^^^said that he used an AMC gift card and it worked so it sounds like a lot of dif. gift cards, almost any, will work. AMC, Home Depot, Walmart, Subway, etc.

Thanks Stue. Now I can get dinner tonight.

And thanks to this new arrangement, I can be an even cheaper bastard.

Wonder when we'll be able to trade in old junker cars for FX?

Just for you, they gunna allow exchange of used junker Harley parts and used junker Faces for FX. Probably can get 7 FX for your mug...including the 3 pity FX they throw in to be nice. I think that's veeeeery generous of them.

Do MC gift cards, such as the ones that used to work with the old gift card processing system, work or not? What gift cards available at 7-11 work?
The list of accepted cards makes no mention of MC gift cards, nor any kind that I'm aware of being available at 7-11, yet, there's a "locate nearest 7-11" link, as well as the message "
Obtain a Gift Card from any Grocery Store, Convenience Store, Gas Station or ANYWHERE Gift Cards are sold!" on the payment page.
