If you agree with Tramp, you're agreeing that we should sell countries as much as we can to balance (or overbalance) trade with other countries. "America first." In order to sell as much as we can, we have to produce as much as we can. MAGA!
For about the last year China has gone without most of its US soybeans. Given a little time, they will find willing farmers around the world as constant sources of beans and the need for US beans will dwindle unless the US undercuts the going price, making farmers take it in the shorts again.
Pork trading (a commodity) will be just like soybeans (another commodity).

I think I'll call both of those really f_cked. Do you support Tramp in those two areas? You can hate Tramp without "supporting" the other.
I don't support Tramp in a lot of things (probably obvious by now). I think China has a lot of issues that should/need to be corrected (for their good and for our good). But you know there's no rule that says we must always sell more to countries than we get from them or that we should always "win" and they should always "lose." Sometimes in being the world economic leader you take the short straw to be "the good guy" in later negotiations. Where that balance of too short of a straw is is the art of diplomacy and international politics/economics. It's not just who has the largest sledgehammer.
So back to how do we sell to support our collective interest without producing as much as we can???? I'm interested in hearing your answer.
(btw, not tryin to bust your chops. Just interested in having a civil honest discussion...and tryin to keep the Dirty Cat quiet.)

I, for one, am glad our farmers are making a personal financial sacrifice to to save the intellectual property of Facebook, GM, IBM, and other multinational corporations.
I am also happy to see consumers support tariffs. Americans are rich enough to pay more for gasoline, cars, food, and everything imported from China and Mexico. Americans love to shop and spend, so the higher prices will be spread all around and no one will be hurt too much.
We need to teach Honduras a lesson.
And speaking of lessons, we need to insult other countries much more! This is especially true of Mexico, Canada and Iran. They are lucky we have not taken them over and made their people slaves.
Our great friends, Saudi Arabia, even made Trump an honorary infidel.
