If you want to be bored for 3 hours you can watch "The Irishman"

The Irishman is a sad story. It tells a tale of washed up actors and a famous Director losing
|

"The Irishman" has gotten good ratings -- 97% from Rotten Tomatoes (86% audience score), 94% from Metacritic, and 8.3 from IMDb. It doesn't seem like it's action packed like "Goodfellas," but more reflective. That might be the issue with some people. Haven't seen it yet.

The Witcher gets released on Dec. 20th. From the trailers it looks really good.

Yes, the Irishman was reflective but a sense it mirrors US history ( whether you agree or not with its conclusions on some issues ). It is the shadow side of US history and worth watching.

The Irishman was VERY long, as most of Scorcese's films are, but the acting was superb, and in particular Joe Pesci's really nuanced performance. I would have been happier if it had ended near the two-hour mark, but sat through it until the end at 3 hours-plus.
Based on confessions claimed by the mob hitman Frank Sheeran as noted in Charles Brandt’s 2004 book “I Heard You Paint Houses: Frank ‘The Irishman’ Sheeran and Closing the Case on Jimmy Hoffa,” there are some fascinating twists on US history in the film as seen recounted by Sheeran's character played by DeNiro.
Worth a watch. But better bring a lunch.

Dolemite Is My Name with Eddie Murphy was great. Best movie he has done in decades in my opinion.

Dolemite was good... but not in my “decades” top 25.

I loved Dolemite.
The problem I had with The Irishman is that Pacino wasn't very good, and he just made me anxious for Hoffa to die, and it took too long for him to finally die, sort of like the last 2 hours of Titanic when all you want to see is Jack drowning.
