In spite of what anyone says... the facts are the rich pay most of the taxes in the United States.
It’s really interesting when Warren Buffet or someone like him says they should pay more. There is nothing stopping him from paying more. He is allowed. All he has to do is stop paying his armies of accountants and lawyers he uses to thread every Tax needle he can find.
The reason he says he pays less than his secretary is because he doesn’t pay himself a salary.
So the reality is... he doesn’t want to pay more taxes... he could do that any time he wants. He wants other people to pay more.
Like most people who say they don’t mind paying more taxes... then they take every deduction they are entitled to... and a bunch they aren’t. Hell... I’ll bet some of you shlubs write off your HX spending as business expense... or ... gifts to charity.
I think that is part of the Hypocrisy. If everyone who says they don’t mind paying higher taxes did... maybe there would be the money in the system for the things they want done. But... no. everyone wants someone else to pay taxes. LOL
I’ll be honest. I pay a shitload of taxes every year. But when it comes to income tax... I do everything I can to reduce my taxable footprint.

I have worked closely with two billionaires and both paid ZERO taxes. Not one cent. One (on the Forbes 400 list) hadn’t paid taxes in 20 years according to the accounting firm he used.
So please, let’s dispense with the bullshit. Tax cuts for the wealthy and so called trickle down economics is an excuse to make the rich richer.
As for what’s going on politically, there can not be two sets of facts. One set of facts has to be false, and it is what is being promulgated by Republicans/Fox News. Republicans now constitute less than 30% of the US population which means they have to cheat to win in elections via gerrymandering and voter suppression. Trump, a selfish conman who has sub-average intelligence, must be removed from office or have his wings clipped to prevent further damage to this county and our standing internationally. That is the purpose of impeachment.

Let me add to what I've written before:

Those who currently feel that Trump's actions do not justify impeachment simply do not understand what is going on.
By definition, Trump's call with Ukrainian President Zelensky constituted a bribe. Every element is there. The Constitution necessarily requires that Congress impeach and remove the President who is abusing his power.
We do not have a dictator who uses the Office of the President for his own personal gain. We do not have a monarchy where the king can do whatever he wants. The Constitution requires that all of the President's actions benefit America and not himself. And if his actions are self-serving and he puts his benefit before that of the United States, then he must be removed.
The Republican Party, which should also be mortified by his actions, is simply trying to retain as much power as they currently have because they know that the end is near for them. So they lie to the American public to cover Trump's actions. Like the Christian Right, they will tolerate Trump because of his stance on abortion and the conservative judges that he's passing through quickly, despite being despicably amoral and unChristian-like.
Lastly, Trump should have been impeached through Mueller's investigation, but Attorney General Bill Barr, who is also fucking with the current impeachment, prevented it from happening and the general public doesn't have the patience or the intellect to understand what happened with Mueller's investigation.
Prediction: Trump will eventually be convicted of several crimes and will likely go to jail if he isn't pardoned by the next President.
FYI - I used to be Republican, I am currently independent, and I do not blindly support Democrats.

How can I argue against a conspiracy theory that you believe to be true? Several Fox News hosts have quit recently because of them lying to the American public, yet no CNN or MSNBC hosts have quit for the same reason.
Believe it or not, Russia is seriously fucking with the United Sates and the GOP has repeatedly blocked legislation in the Senate to secure our elections. Russia is a relative poor country that has an economy the size of Italy’s. They can’t compete militarily with us, but they can spend $100 million on disinformation where Americans end up fighting against each other endlessly.
