I'm watching it and not really enjoying it. The only interesting thing to me is the speeches by the lower profile members of the House. Who are these people?
|
|
nope
forgone conclusion, no point in watching a bunch of morons attack each other over something that will amount to zilch in the end

This is the day the Dumbocrats have been obsessing over for more than 3 years. It must feel like a collective wet dream to them.
|

trying or lying ?
|
|
No. Can’t stand to hear any of them talk.

The last three years of Democrat assault on the constitution demonstrates the urgent need for the Democrat Party to be abolished.
|
|
Fascinated?
At the culmination of 3 years of endless whining coming to a pointless shitshow at taxpayer expense.
Get a life.

Hey KS, I spent some time in SAC (yes, not national) and even IT was enthralling.

The only one assaulting the The constitution of the United States is President Trump and his cronies and the republican party! Nobody is above the law!
|
|
If only it was about the Constitution and/or 'the law.'

Forrest Gump voice was about right.
As ugly... or stupid or whatever adjective you would use to describe all of this... you have to admit the political twists are incredible. Then the spin each side puts on every tidbit.
If you can remove your emotions from this... and forget you are vested in one side or the other... I think you would stand in awe of the political intrigue. This is major league stuff.
The moves and counter moves over the last two months are things you don’t see coming. To list all of them would be almost impossible. Both sides are amazing!
The Dems try to hold the vote in a way the public will pay attention. Trump decides to hold a rally right after the vote in order to counter the impact.
Now Nancy might hold the articles of impeachment and not send them to the senate in order to rob Trump of a sure acquittal. How amazing of a twist is that? Now what will the Repubs do to counter that?
This is a tremendous display of political strategy.

Yeah... you can’t list all of the amazing moves. Trump’s letter was a very smart move.

To all the Trump supporters, you all know the truth. You're not stupid. You know Trump's a liar and a con man. You know he doesn't give a shit about corruption. You know what the facts show. You know it shows what he did is impeachable. It's not surprising to you at all that he used his office to benefit himself. It's who he is. You know all this.
You're just being stubborn. You know the truth but instead of admitting all this, you'd rather troll people, regardless of how it weakens our Constitution, regardless of how it weakens America, weakens NATO and empowers our enemies. Or maybe you don't allow yourselves to think about the damage that's being done and how it endangers your own lifestyle and freedoms, not to mention the freedoms of your friends, children (if you have any) and generations to come.
Well, fucking grow up. Be an adult. And stop repeating Russian propaganda and talking points like they're actually real things. You're an American. Act like it.
Otherwise, move to Russian and join their FSB. That way, you can at least get paid for your work.

Dems....please read the Constitution instead of waving it around.......
|
|
The Senate will carry out as fair a trial as the House did....
What a kangaroo court....this shit is supposed to only happen in Third World dictatorships......

WOW. SEXISM AND RACISM ARE GONE! When did this happen. Whoever wrote that needs a wake up call.
|
|
It is kind of like slowing down when you see a bad car accident. Everyone has a sick desire to see how bad it was and how much blood is on the pavement.

“It's true that racism and sexism are nowhere near as prevalent as they were 40-50 years ago but neither is close to eradication. With that said, a lot of people are too quick to assign racist or sexist motives to current events, IMO.” - Sam
Sam, I agree completely.
I don’t think eradication of bad idea should be our goal. In a place where the freedom to think for yourself and have ideas is one of our highest values, there are bound to be some very bad ones. That has to be tolerated. Hopefully we are able to think critically and say, “That is a harmful idea” and reject it. God help us if we ever get to the place where only the ideas everybody thinks are good is allowed.
There will always be racism, sexism and attempts to make one group better and/or more important. People will always do things to harm or oppress others while lifting themselves up. Hopefully, we all get to the place where we can reject an idea without stifling the process of having new ideas.
The the problem with our political process today is we have the need to demonize each other rather than just disagree. We assign motives and mindsets to each other that, more than likely, aren’t true... but since my goal is to win, I must get as many people as possible to my side. The best way to do that is to make the other side look like horrible monsters.

I see the same thing about maxine and hellary, except I see them screaming "I'm melting"

A President can be impeached for "high crimes and misdemeanors."
So we are looking for crimes here, right?
Two articles say he committed an "abuse of power" and "obstruction of congress."
I just went through the entire United States Code, which is the federal criminal laws...there are no such Federal crimes for "abuse of power" and "obstruction of congress." So if he gets "convicted" in the Senate, convicted of what???
There are no crimes here. All the talk of bribery, treason, etc. were just bullshit.
|
|
I watched it as well. Only three presidents have been impeached and I was alive for two of the three. What a time to be alive.
|
|
Pretty sure after this one... you will be alive for the next 5 or 6.
