Interesting convo, lots of angles to consider.

Just so you know going forward, JoJo. I've been a registered independent for over 20 years after having been both a Dem and a Rep prior to. After realizing that you have to be willing to drink either blue or red kool-aid in order to believe the bullshit that both major parties spew, i got sane and got out. I used Chicago in the example only because it made the statement "vote early, vote often" famous, not for any other reason. And, it was about organized crime, not a political party per se. So, it was kinda interesting watching you guys make all kinds of assumptions about the comment.

I won't make any assumptions about you, but in general, most populations fall under the standard bell curve. While people may call themselves Dems or Reps, polling data shows that the majority are moderate, somewhere in the middle. In other words, as expected, roughly 68% falls within 1 standard deviation either direction.

That's America right there, mostly moderate regardless of the labels used. Then there's the outliers sitting outside of 2 standard deviations, either right or left.

Is that you? Only you can say. One thing is for sure though, for a group of people who supposedly hate intolerance, there seems to be a lot of it.

I always thought voter rolls that haven't been purged of dead people is what they're finding. You'd have to know who the dead registered voters are then make fake ID to vote. Seems too risky.

I am a registered Republican only because that is how our system works... not because I don’t accept other ideas.

In California, you can only vote in a primary for the party you are registered in.

I consider myself a social progressive (in many things) and a fiscal conservative.

I don’t care is some dude likes the taste of penis in his mouth... or if two chicks want to bump beavs.
And if they want a legal contract between them... that’s fine too.

National defense and limited government interference/regulation. Now... how limited is what I haven’t completely figured out yet. So I admit most of my thinking on that is developed by my personal preferences and my thoughts on what works and doesn’t.

If you want to give away shit... college, health care and retirement funding... Hell... I’m all for it... IF you can show me a viable plan to pay for it that doesn’t unfairly tax those who have been more disciplined, industrious and/or creative.
