I just finished the 1st season. Based in the star wars universe 5 years after the empire fell in return of the jedi. If you can get passed the spaceships, droids, and familiar aliens its the characters and story that move the series to the very last episode. Yes, 8 episodes watched in a couple of days and i want more. I think thats a good sign. Its already been confirmed for season 2 in the fall of 2020. I cant wait.

I'm a bit leery of how 'Disney' it is.

Thank you for that review. Now I want to see it! Star Wars is known to be all about special effects, but what really made the original movies so special to were the characters, so this sounds very promising. Rather see this than the movie out now!

It was a really great storyline and you didn’t have to be a Star Wars nut to follow it, but there were plenty of little nods to the films and novels that you could geek out to.

I’m looking forward to Season 2. Jon Favreau did a great job with it.

baby yoda is cute as hell. but the storyline is basically a terrible tv show.

I can't get over how terrible it is.

If he didn't look like the most bad ass character that star wars ever created (boba fett) I wouldn't have watched it.

The voice actor is also terrible.

The series is great in multiple respects, easy to follow story linen yet complicated enough in all it's nods and Easter eggs - I love the soundtrack & it's homage to the spaghetti westerns.

The music didn't go the cheap john Williams route. The use of different instrumentation is nice to hear. By the way episode 1 was directed by Bryce Dallas Howard. Just like daddy.
