Last year against the Pats... they were 1 stop away from the Super Bowl... that’s against last year’s very good Patriots defense. Tennessee’s D is good but not that good.
KC’s defense is not great... but they are good and much better than last year. They don’t have to shut the Titans down. They just need a few stops. Maybe just one at the right time. Hopefully Chris Jones will be back in the lineup this week. Henry is no joke... but he can get his 150-200 yards and it not kill the Chiefs... as long as they get a stop here and there.
TN beat the Patriots because the New England had 1 weapon and a struggling offensive line. They beat Baltimore (excellent game plan) by taking the middle of the field away from Lamar Jackson. Without Ingram Jackson was the only threat out of the backfield. Much easier to spy. They didn’t have to shut Jackson down... just limit his big plays.
Like Tannehill, Jackson can throw between the hashes and struggles outside. KC will load the box and make Tannehill beat them throwing outside.
Good luck with Tennessee stopping KC’s 6 offensive weapons (Williams, Kelce, Hill, Hardman, Watkins, Robinson) ... and then... when they try to cover them you still have to account for a Shady McCoy and ... Mahomes has been known to scramble for a yard here and there. Not to mention going to a guy they never go to like they did last week. (Blake Bell #81, TD... Who?)
