Odd fanny pack/kit pack left outside of my home

I have never experienced this at any of my other homes but today when I got home from my day job I found something odd. There was a small kit or fanny pac type bag found on the side of my home in Durham. I do have two residences on the east coast so this is first for finding this "kit" on the side of the home where I stay on weekdays. Inside this bag was fish hooks, bear spray (which I will keep for protection), a jack knife tool thingy, binoculars, bug spray, handerchief and a few other things. I am now alarmed. I was just in California for two weeks so maybe they thought the Durham home was empty and the there are some woods behind my home. This never happened to my Wilmington home so I am concerned now. Why would someone leave this on the side of my house. I barely saw it today as it was placed in a spot I would not normally look. Not sure how long this has been there. I hope it is not a serial killer.

It's a personal survival/emergency kit. I wouldn't worry about the kit, unless it was in a place that does not have public access, then that's weird.

Off shoot chance that wild life could have deposited it around the home if in a more rural area. Does sound like the contents are not nefarious but survival oriented, which leads me to think perhaps a bird picked it up, or a fox dragged it away, any camp grounds near by?. Regardless, I would either get a trail cam or remote cam for the home

Strange indeed.
I got a KASA KC100 indoor cam on Amazon on black Friday for like $20 to keep an eye on the porch because I constantly found trash on it so I wasn't sure if someone or a vagrant was hanging out on it while I was gone or if it was just some scumbag walking by & throwing shit inside.
Turns out my neighbor's offspring threw his pop tart and pastry wrappers on my porch when he cut across my lawn to walk to school in the morning. Dickweed.
I talked to him and showed him the footage and he apologized. We agreed if he cleaned up the leaves on the yard a few times it would stay between us.
So yeah... keep an eye on your shit with something simple and affordable like that cam I got.
You buy, get the app, plug the thing and it walks you through like 3 steps to set it up.
regular price is like 30-40 so it is always reasonable if you cant find it downright cheap.

I secondly found a large stick which I assume goes with the fishing hooks. I guess someone was stashing their survival kit outside my home while I was gone lol.
