Yep, I do have a pointer Smaller than I wish though
Flying suggestions...give yourself plenty of time to get there, baggage check, TSA, etc. Figure conservatively how much time you need, then double it. Speaking of TSA, re-read the requirements, then read again.

Blowing the pilot could not hurt your chances

Don't fly if you have any kind of head congestion going on. The lower pressure in an airplane cabin will make the insides of your sinuses swell and hurt like crazy. If you HAVE to fly anyway, you are going to want strong decongestant and headache medicine. Take the decon BEFORE you fly!
Have snacks. The airline snacks are very expensive.
Using the bathroom on an airplane is a pain. Cramped, maybe not very clean, etc. Avoid drinking so much you have to go repeatedly. - Especially if you don't have an aisle seat.
Make sure you go to the airline website and get all the rules about what you can and cannot bring in your luggage and/or your carry-on. Fluid sizes, sharp objects, electronics, etc.
I don't know if they are still making people remove their shoes. If so, you want easy on and off. But avoid sandals. Your fellow passengers don't want to see your feet. They are funny that way.
Metal detectors - avoid wearing a pound of metallic jewelry.
Don't have anything in your carry-on you would be embarrassed for others to see. The TSA folks may open that sucker up to check something, and everyone may see. Put the vibrator in the checked luggage.
No pepper spray, taser guns, other weapons, etc.
Do have in your carry-on what you need to get through at least a day if your luggage is lost or misplaced - toothbrush, extra underwear, etc.
Don't put expensive stuff in the checked luggage if you can avoid it.That fancy Rolex watch has a way of disappearing somehow.
Put your name and cell phone number and destination inside your luggage, in case the exterior identification gets torn off. Do not put your home address in there though. Bad idea for a woman, especially.
Get to the airport early.
Get to the airport early.
Get to the airport early.
Do everything you can at the automated kiosks. Avoid lines of people who want face-to-face where possible. Saves time.
If you are parking a vehicle at the airport, don't forget where you parked.
Have fun!

Hey Girl... the flight from Vegas to OC is so short and easy, you don't have to worry about anything. Have a cocktail or two at the bar before you board and all's good and easy..
You'll be back on the ground before you know what happened.
I get a bottle of smart water and bring headphones but it's only a 55 minute flight.
I'm platinum and have flown all over.. 31 cities last year.
The airport is an awesome place to people watch and as hot as you are, you'll be watched for sure. I'd love to meet you in an airport bar sometime...
Have a safe flight and enjoy..
Cheers

rjthedodger Iโll meet you for an airport rendezvous anytime ๐ฅฐ๐

Notsofast I do like your idea Iโll have to wear my high skirt so I can sneak into his cockpit ๐

Just remember. If there is a problem and the plane is going down, put your head between your knees and Kiss Your Ass Goodby!
I'm a private pilot, so flying anything commercial is safer than driving on the freeway!!!!!

Wow really ? Ok then.
One do not ware heels. Two, seats for the over wing exit have more leg room, but that door weights 70 lbs. So they like have a big guy there. Three, seats at rear of wing have better survivability should it go down. But the wing covers your view, should you like to look out. Should you hear a bang just after take off, no worries, it's the landing gear doors slamming shut. Haha. Sitting in the very back of the plane is a bit bumpier. But I guess this is a short trip.

Ugh, I now have a trip out of LAX at 5am. Anyone want to Uber me there ? Cash tip.
|
|
Was this a choice because of fear or just did not have the opportunity or need?
I find it interesting that you have not flown, that is unusual...
|
|
remove watch, belts, earrings, jewelry,
put them into tray with your shoes and purse.
better yet, put purse in your carry-on.
wear socks over your hosiery.
you can remove socks after you pass TSA.
put on your flats after you pass TSA.
USE airport potty before you line up to board plane.
on longer flights, meal service is NOT free.
BRING YOUR OWN EARPHONES. Some airlines are free, but don't bet on it.
if you go international, more perks...
free meals, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks.
good luck.

My first flight was on Continental airlines October 1969 courtesy of the US government LAX to SAT.
Where are you headed?
You may want to take some snacks. Check TSA rules for what you can carry with you and liquid capacity, what you can carry on and what you can put in your check luggage.
3.4 ounce (100ml) bottle or less (by volume) ; 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. One-quart bag per person limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring. 3.4 ounce (100ml) container size is a security measure.
Wishing you a safe journey and please return to us soon.

notsofast I never flown because I have always been scared but I am ready to spread my wings ๐ฅฐ

|
I'm not Mr Jetsetter but have flown plenty. My only anxiety used to be take off (holy shit we are running out of runway!) or landing (holy shit we are too low!), over time I learned to distract myself at those times by watching something on my device or reading. Once you are in flight it's no big at all, plane is flying itself.
|
|
Fly somewhere with me babe, Iโm TSA pre-check and you wonโt have to take off anything when you go through security.
Youโll just need to be ready to join the mile high club!!๐๐
|
|
just get there early, Security line can be time consuming. Don't forget your ID
south west does not charge for bags....but other airlines do and some airlines charge for carrier on's. have a few buck with you just in case. carrier on's have to be under 22 inches and check in bags need to be under I "think" 49 pounds otherwise you get and extra charge.
Have a good flight beautiful
|
|
IF the ride gets bumpy, its totaly safe, the airplane can withstand severe turbulance, which is extremely rare. I recommend when your seated to use the seat belt as a precaution. If you get a jolt (rare) you dont need to bump your head,
Have a nice flight

Do your best to insure that the number of landings equals the same number of takeoff's.
|
|
drive....................
|
|
One should never fly on the 18th of the month.
On that day all airlines will be giving complimentary full body cavity searches.
|
|
What if someone finds that enjoyable? I'm asking for a friend.
|
|
Flying is fine. Airports are a pain in the rear. Pun intended
|
|
I don't fly often, but when I do, I put everything in a carry on so I don't have to check bags. However, if you do need to check a bag, a friend of mine says you can check your bag at the gate. This way it insures your bag goes on your plane.
|
|
Board the plane like you own
It.
And you will be all good.... congrats! On your first time in a plane ! U go girl...

You're 30 and haven't be on a plane
Have you ever be to the East coast or out of the CA, NV area?
|
|
In every group there's always somebody who has to make condescending or asshole comments just ignore those fucks!.....and enjoy your flight.
|
|
How was your flight?
|
|
Ya how did it go?
EZ PZ?
|
|
Gina...did you join the mile high club????
|
|
She's probably still up in the air....lol
Hi Kat....waving emoji
|

Chewing gum helps equalize the pressure in your ears as the plane climbs and later descends. Foam ear plugs help if you want to sleep or just to keep the noise down during the flight.
|
|
Im in the mile high club
|

Hey Kat.. I hope the flight went smoothly for you...
Nothing to it, Iโd bet.
Now OC to Vegas will be a breeze for you...
Cheers!

Diamond Girl, I would have been shocked if you HADN'T joined that club....

If you like fast cars you'll love taking off in a commercial jet!
Depending on their take off weight they are doing between 150-180 MPH when they rotate and take off.
If you are taking off from JWA the jet aircraft have to follow what is called noise abatement procedure. When the plane takes off the pilot uses full throttle and pulls the nose up very steep. It feels like you're almost going straight up. Then once the plane gets to Bristol St below this pilot levels the plane and pulls back on the throttles (which makes you feel almost weightless) while you fly over residential areas.
Personally I think it's a total rush!

Hey there Kitty_Kat89, I'm a bit confused by this response you made to Notsofast:
Notsofast I do like your idea Iโll have to
wear my high skirt so I can sneak into
his cockpit ๐
It sounds as if you're implying that you wanna offer up YOUR cockpit to the pilot (in exchange for a hassle-free 1st flight). So why would you have to sneak into YOUR cockpit??? Hmmm .... unless????

Made it to Irvine!โค๏ธโค๏ธ Thank you everyone for all the love and support ๐๐

What are your thoughts on turbulence?
