What absolute desperation looked like.
Just, tell them to all go home.

So basically what the cons tried to do with their political maneuvers from 2008 to 2016.
Gotta love hypocrisy.

you get the gist of the article or thread sam?
the losses for hrc were to get the ball rolling for all the others...nothing to lose by changing the vote, as they already lost
another harvard article wants make states out of a bunch of DC liberal counties so they will never lose again and always control all the branches

I wonder what the court will do. I would guess there is a Federalism issue here if the Supremes decide.
I imagine it should be kicked back down to the state legislatures. Each state currently decides how their electoral votes are applied. Most stares are “winner take all”, but I think there are two “proportional allocation” states.
The state legislatures should fix the issue for their state.
In my humble opinion, “faithless electors” should not exist. I would say, When you accept the role as an elector, you bind yourself to the outcome of the vote in you’re state. You do not get to exercise free will.
You are the executioner. You don’t get to decide if the person is guilty or not guilty, if the trial was fair.... or if the sentence is just. Your only job is to pull the switch.
