If memes and false stories on Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms misled and influenced our countrymen, it demonstrates how easily fooled and easily influenced we have become. How about we stop dumbing down our education system? Also, don’t forget, VP Biden threatened to withhold aid to influence Ukraine to remove the prosecutor investigating the company that his unqualified son was being paid over $80,000 a month to serve on their BoD.
I suppose, right or wrong, he can remove people, but they are still around to testify, if necessary. But, I agree that is shady.
Providing tax returns is not a requirement for running for or serving as president.
If you read through political comments here and on other social media platforms, it should be sadly clear to you that there is no shortage of idiots whether they are attacking or defending Dems or Republicans.
Separation of Church and State. Imposing any religion is not an official part of our system. A longstanding issue with Religious leaders that seek to gain political power ($$$).
Nepotism. Friends, long-time associates, and family are more likely to be loyal and honest in their support; much like a sports team’s coaching staff that moves from one team or another with the head coach. Friends and family have been hired or appointed by one administration after another throughout our history. No argument that this can be abused by unqualified wankers being hired at insane salaries and subject to corruption or even the perception of corruption.

Jared and Ivanka are really making sacrifices as they made 82 million in outside businesses in 2017 and up to 135 million last year. I guess nobody else was better qualified for their positions. All while travelling and having secret service at taxpayers expense.
The Trump boys and Ivanka have also made some good coin off their Washington hotel where diplomats and lobbyist stay.
If Trump's policies aren't beneficial to his businesses, then why won't he release his tax returns?

You don’t have to agree with all of the ideas of the religious right to support the religious right.
We are a pluralistic society. For those who list their home as San Diego, that means we embrace many ideas. As difficult as it might be to navigate... those ideas often conflict with each other. The problem with the left is their answer is to stamp out and silence those who have values and world views different from their own.
A guy owns a company. He has a personal value concerning gay marriage. He does not use those personal views to discriminate in the way he runs his business. He has never been accused of discriminatory practices, but in an interview he is asked about his faith and the hot topic (at the time) of gay marriage. He simply states, “I believe marriage is between one man and one woman.”
From that statement that has nothing to do with how he runs his business, treats his employees and serves his customers, it is decided he should not be allowed to have his business. Everyone should boycott his product.
Imagine if that is how we decided everything.

Has religion been abused and used wrongly? Absolutely. But less war? LOL. War has been and always will be about money and power. Men will use whatever tool is necessary to accumulate both.
But like just about everything else, religion is a tool that is only as good as the person handling it.
Like fire... it can burn down your house... or it can warm your family, cook your food and even prepare the land for re-growth.
Religion is responsible for most of the ideas YOU embrace as correct... but don’t even know it. You don’t want to live in a world simply governed by the natural tendencies of me. In a natural world YOU would be bent over being buttfucked by a bigger and tougher guy. It is religion that has overruled the natural order of life and has given intrinsic value to all people. Religion (particularly Christianity) has said, You are valuable to God. Because of that, you should be protected and have rights. Those values didn’t exist before. The strong conquered the weak. Mankind is selfish and self serving. We do the right thing for others either when it’s convenient or when we are forced to.
It is religion that brought the idea of altruistic service to others. Built hospitals, provided for the poor and widows and educational institutions... long before it was the “in-thing” that progressives now embrace.
So yeah... maybe you got diddled by a priest and now you are a bitter fuck who hates religion because it tells you not to succumb to your most base instincts and desires. That you have the ability to manage your hierarchy of needs in a way that doesn’t take advantage and hurt those around you. But rather than admit the truth of that... and the great benefits it has brought the world... you want to ignore that and embrace ONLY the fires it has started when it was abused.
