Cover up???????????
The Dems had plenty of time to investigate and interview witnesses. If they needed more time, why the hell didn't they do so.....because nothing to find.
17 witnesses were interviewed....all approved by them...NONE by the Trump legal team...who didn't even sit in on most of the testimony in the House and could not even cross examine the witnesses.
Thousands of pages of documents were scoured...if they wanted more, they could have subpoenaed them. If opposed by Trump legal team, they could have court appealed...but that's right, Shitty Schiff withdrew his request for judicial intervention with the subpoena....
Keep telling yourself is was a cover up....everything was in Schiff's hands...so whatever is wrong with the investigation is on him.

Dude! You can withhold funds to get a another Country to investigate corruption before you give them funds. Biden's actions in Ukraine certainly qualify to be investigated.
But Dude! The funds were released, no investigation occured, and the Ukrainian government never knew. So you lose that fight twice!

The only question is, do you think what he did is worthy of impeachment and removal?
Democrats think so, but Republicans think not.
We know how the trial is going to end. Witnesses would make no difference, so why bother to call them if they aren't going to make a difference?
Democrats are more than welcome to call them up when they continue their partisan investigations.
The problem with the impeachment is that it never evolved to being bipartisan. Hence, its failure.
Democrats knew it was going to fail, but impeached Trump anyway. What does that say about them?
Both Democrats and Republicans are guilty of playing partisan politics in this affair. That's why we're going to get the result we're gonna get.
To blame only one side for this mess is only blaming 1/2 the parties involved.
You can't succeed with a partisan impeachment if the environment was already toxically partisan for 3 years.

It cant be emphasized enough that if there was a solid impeachable crime the case should have been fully built up with complete applicable witness testimony, all of it, in Congress then wrapped up and delivered to the Senate.
Schiff and his colleagues have been meandering through this half-assed Cracker Jack prosecution in Congress, hitting dead ends then throwing out the "new evidence" smoke bombs when they walk into the Senate. Every body saw through it. It has been a total circus act all along.
If you think Trump is guilty of something then there is no one but Schiff to blame for the results.

You know why. Adam Schiff told you during the trail. Because Trump would have kept doing what he had been doing. Not letting people testify and ignoring subpoenas and obstructing things that would of draggged the investigation out deep into 2020 maybe until the election. Since this issue has to do with Trump trying to dirty up Joe Biden for the 2020 election and that they had good evidence but not documents and the testimony of ALL of the witnesses that had first hand information Rudy, Bolton, Pompeo act.... it was the best they could do navigating through Trumps obstruction and I think they did a great job laying out the case..
What about these new emails that were just turned over last night? You seem to be ignoring them.

Impeachment and removal is more than just proving the accusations. There is politics involved. An environment of going after Trump and trying to remove him for 3 years for far lesser things makes it impossible for the other side to go along with impeachment and removal, even in the case the accusations are true, which they are.

It doesnât matter if there are 100 emails that say âTrump knewâ or âTrump directedâ concerning aid. You need an e-mail or a 1st hand conversation where Trump says, âUkraineâs past corruptions day rumors are all I need to make enough hay to sink Crazy Joeâs presidential bid.â
Right now all you have are a few people who say, âI think Trump did it just to get dirt on Biden.â
And donât start the whining... âWell, the only reason we donât have more is because the Whitehouse blocked the release of information.â Itâs not true. The only reason is congress didnât want to take the time to have a judge decide how much privilege the president actually has. It didnât fit their political timeline.

they *might* be violating campaign finance laws
they *might* be leaking classified information to the press
their staff *might* be in violation of the Hatch Act
