I don't know much about a left side person or right side or whatever that means. However, I'm guessing if the left side has the mental illness , emotional distress is prob a huge factor. That being said, the right side is prob filled with bullies that think they're better than everyone and thus they may play a part in doing or saying things in their everyday life which causes the left sides emotional distress and mental illness. This is only a guess. A non educated guess at that. But common sense tells me if it's been made a point to single out these left siders and insinuate that they are mentally ill, that's a big clue as to the right side being the bully. I wish I knew more about this so I could determine either if my suggestion could hold some type of truth but, damn. Sometimes things can also be quite obvious. Idk. Who cares. Im bored.

Even though I donβt mind the outcome... itβs obviously a skewed process for multiple reasons....
8,000 out of about 180,000,000 is not an adequate sample size to reach a conclusion. Just that the person elected to take an online survey speaks to their mental condition, no matter what their political persuasion.
With that said, I do know quite a few nutso lefties.

Fortunately, the data comes from what appears to be a legit survey that was cited by Jones.
Keeping in mind that correlation doesn't mean causality, these results do make some sense. Who hasn't noticed the correlation between the "artist" and "crazy"? If you process the world thru your right side brain, make your decisions and express yourself thru the same, then the left side is only there to provide an ocassional justification for a conclusion the left side has already made.
One can observe this phenomenon in many political blogs on the site. Often times, there's a sort of frantic paranoia and disjointed thinking process that can't be swayed by logical arguments simply because it's an emotional right brain response.

How are some of you thinking this is about left brain, right brain?
I do agree the sample size is too small. But I would say from my own views and life experience that ones views towards liberalism vs conservatism is related to how self supportive a person is.
People who are young, uneducated and own little tend towards liberalism for the benifits. The extreme example is Marxism where people are serfs. People who are educated, established and own things tend towards conservatism.
Just my personal opinion.

Seems there are many very rich successful individuals who are on the left. Some even appear to believe in it and are not there just to take advantage of the masses.
There are many poor Americans that support Trump and are willing to give up health care etc... to be free of Government controls etc...
