The facts are out there waiting to be read, but some people just don't want to know them.
It's to the point now where some of us would rather stick to their original opinion and support their side even if it costs them their Constitutionally-guaranteed civil rights. I hope y'all are paying attention because the Constitution and the rule of law are being shredded right before our very eyes, out in the open, and very few of us either realize it or seem to care.
Fuck, it seems some of us are even cheering it on! Those are your rights they're in the process of taking away and some of us are like, "Fuck yeah! You show 'em!".

The "they will raise your taxes and lower your standard of living" trope is a 40 year old lie, but Reagan sold it well.

So according to j502 our constitution is protected by a party that
wants to take down the 2nd amendment..
wants to get rid of the electoral college..
wants to expand the superior court number.(to whatever number they like).
wants to lower voting age to 16...
wants to have practically NO border..
give people that commit crimes lots of rights (like healthcare and Driving rights)..
wants to get rid of selfmade Billionaires because they are immoral...
wants to give free money to people because the color of their skin..
I could go on and on....

Just cause you can't Google doesn't mean the information isn't out there. And, it's never been a tax cut just for the wealthy no matter how loud you yell or what moron on MSNBC you parrot.
The point is to let people who actually do the WORK decide what they want to do with THEIR money, not be forced to give it to some bureaucrat that lives in Washington. It's the whole point of price discovery in economics.
Note that the first to do it was a Democrat, a Democrat that wouldn't recognize the party he once represented. Course, nobody would recognize the Repub party either since they opted to follow the pied piper.

Sam... I would address the entire list but let me ask about 2.
1. The second amendment is becoming the victim of “creep.” They could never move from all guns are legal to no guns are legal in one big swoop. It’s being done an inch at a time. Over decades. Make no mistake, if the Pelosies Bloombergs Warrens, Betos’, Newsomes, etc... could eliminate gun rights completely... they would. They are just trying to fight the fights they might win right now. Are you saying the progressive left that is taking over the Democratic Party does not have the ultimate agenda to remove guns owned by citizens?
2. What makes a border wall, barrier, fence whatever you want to call it... Inhumane? If it’s not “inhumane”, and it’s proven barriers work, why is the left fighting so hard against a plan that will greatly impact illegal Immigration?

None have the level of gun violence we do. Stop the madness with common sense prohibitions on assault style weapons, high capacity magazines etc. non of which were envisioned by the framers.
wants to get rid of the electoral college....Why not? It's an anachronism. As urbanization and population shifts to the more economically successful states and cities the electoral collage becomes less and less democratic.

wants to lower voting age to 16... Haven't heard of this one. The left do want to promote voting not disenfranchisement by voter suppression, Voter ID requirements, gerrymandering and other limitations favored by the right. More democracy is good not bad.
wants to have practically NO border..No body of consequence is advocating no border. Vast majority want effective and humane border policies.
give people that commit crimes lots of rights (like healthcare and Driving rights)... humanitarian treatment of prisoners is a recognized human right. Most people in the US are incarcerated because they can't afford good legal representation or pay bail not because they are guilty. Driving rights?

No. They support a progressive taxation system (like when America was great) that rewards the lucky, hardworking and smart with great wealth but also burdens them with a fee for the ability to earn that great wealth for the betterment of the wider society.
Wants to give free money to people because the color of their skin.. or maybe just give ladders of opportunity to those who bare the greatest burden of generations of both systemic and both intentional and unintentional racism.

Both sides of the debate (Dems & Reps) like to cherry pick extreme positions by one candidate , then use them like bludgeons against all members of the opposite party. It's a lot easier than actually doing the hard work of negotiating. Picking extreme positions in the primaries is how you get noticed in a crowded field. Your skill at walking it all back once you're the nominee and tacking to the center determines how close you get to the Presidency.
Tell lies, then deny you meant it and say you were misquoted. No wonder politicians are less trusted than anybody else......other than HX members, lol
As to the Electoral College:
Simplest reason for the electoral college: no single state is entitled to an effective veto. We are a union of states, not individuals. This is the very basis of our representative government. The name of the country is still The United States Of America, not The United Persons of America.
Direct Democracy is better known as the Tyranny of the Majority typically leading to even more factionalism and strife. And, you're never getting that change made anyway, so just go with it.
