Black's beach is clothing optional.

Black’s Beach in La Jolla, and it’s a great hike down and beautiful!

Black's Beach: I don't know if it's the same as when I visited back in the late 70s, a bunch of old bald fat guys and no women. I never went back.
Venice beach in the 70s went sort of nude. If you walked through the crowd you caught glimpses of golden twats glistening in the sun. I think that phase has past.

Awesome! Thank you guys

Google will give you more accurate information than the posts above.
1) Black's Beach is no longer "clothing optional"; that was changed decades ago relating to the portion that is in the City of San Diego.
2) The portion that is in the State Park was never clothing optional.
3) Enforcement is another issue.
4) Do not sit close to the cliffs when the tide comes in. Three people were killed recently in Encinitas when a cliff collapsed on them.

Not San Diego, but not too far is San Onefre State Beach. All the way to the south part next to Camp Pendleton.
Unofficial nude beach.... at least it used to be years ago.

Repeat my suggestion: do not rely on posts here that obviously have not been researched.
Below link, while several years old, states that state parks has issued citations for nudity.

If there was any nude beaches in CA 1/2 the people would likely end up on the internet......shame.

She clearly said private beach, not sure whether she means private property or some hideaway that's private and she can lay around nude without being bothered. At any rate, you won't find either.
