Mine was a five year old special needs dog. Behavioral issues with other animals. Their first question to me was do you have any other animals? Nope. You have family that lives with you? Nope. We have the perfect dog for you. And she is amazing. Saved my life.
|
|
When they come into your life, they will save your mind!
And when they leave this Earth 🌍, they will rescue you again. Sometimes it takes these special loving beings to leave in order to self nurture ourselves once again. 😭

i had a pet wife once, she was a cross between a pit and a senior
|
|
All of the dogs and cats I've had were rescues.
Remember: Never lie to your pet.
Because they will never lie to you.

I went to the animal shelter 5 years ago.
I said I want anything but a Chihuahua.
I left with a Chihuahua

I had a 3 legged pig once.
He saved our family when the house caught on fire. Made noise and woke everybody up. Really special animal.
A friend asked if that was how he lost his leg.
No. You don’t eat a special pig like that all at once.
|
|
I heard the pig was roasted in the fire now you change the story.

Gina galaxy!!! LOL 🤣 Me too!!! And they all look alike. No teeth and tongue hanging out. BEST BEST little critters ever. Actually I'm obsessed w seniors period.
The oldie but goodies have intense gratitude and perfect manners (maybe from all the cry barking at the pound, they have no more voice 😪)
They simply just lay there and smile at me all day. Precious wittle pumkins!
As for both pig comments 😡, I don't see it funny. Pigs are like dogs. I just can't. Even masked w nitrate and maple syrup, I honestly can't stomach even the thought. No judgement if u eat em. Just dont get crazy w it. Less is best.

Ok let us go with this.
Hey face I'll Trump you with this.
My pet was an eyetlian wife. Meaner than a pit and a bigger moustache than a guy.
I love bacon.

Somebody here must know, do Chihuahuas really taste like chicken?
And, how many would you need for a party of 20?
Thanks in advance
|
|
No they don't taste like chicken. More like rat or dog.
|
|
For a party of 20.... you need 30

@GinaGalaxy & @ProstateSpecialist I also have a chi! She is the best dog ever. She was a gift from my best friend. She was rescued originally. Never in a million years would I have picked a girl chihuahua for myself. She's turned out to be the best gift I have ever received. They are very smart dogs. Also are one of the longest living dog breeds.
Cool fact: chi's (chihuahua) were once barkless dogs!
You can find some pretty funny videos on YouTube of gangs of Chihuahuas terrorizing neighborhoods and people.

For Chi l💜vers like myself!
|

^ Seent that happen at Taco Bell!
It was horrible
Bite the shit out of an ankle and when that human fell, the Chi would go straight for the throat.
A few then feasted on the nutsack like a delicacy.
I have PTSD every time I see a Chi now

Rescued a chi/corgi mix a little over 6 yrs ago. He was found by a rescue organization in Moreno Valley with about 15 other puppies from an lady that had been over breeding. Horrible. He was 8 weeks old and completely feral. Having raised dogs all my life, I can honestly say this one was the biggest challenge.
Fast forward to today, he is the funniest and most lovable dog. That is, until he sees a big dog.. then the chi “little man syndrome” comes out in full force! Lol

My dad had a Chow hound, and he was mean. He would snap at anyone, even my dad.

ProstateSpecialist, look into GrandPaws Senior Sanctuary. It’s a special rescue catering to Senior Dogs who have been abandoned in kill shelters (btw, the owners that abandon them should die a sad and die a lonely death). GrandPaws take the Seniors in to be fostered, adopted or live out their final years in a free environment. I donate to them regularly. Once my dogs are gone (which I hope will not be for a long time), I will be adopting from them.

I think I’ve seen Grandpaws. Poor owner never rests.

@EVA & Prostate!
Yes I love my baby.
I grew up on Labs
And never was a small dog person.
Many ppl make fun of Chihuahuas call them ankle voters, little dog syndrome, or football's.
But they are awesome. I understand them now... and run up to every chihuahua I see.
@UPPERECHELON ...u think I'm cold to-say I don't want a certain dog? Is it ok to say I don't want to marry a certain man or is that cold too.
I'm sick of seeing every time I comment u comment after with nothing positive to say. So why don't u kindly please stop commenting on my comments. I'm sick of it.

Guilt complex?
I hate Chihuahuas. I have been bitten twice by those pieces of shit. I've only been bitten twice in my life both times by those damn ankle biters.

Her comment was directed towards facephukker Gina.

I've actually nevwr had any bad experiences with chi's....big dog s love them as well. I had a Great Dane growing up and I was small enough to get on his back and acted like he was a pony. However ive been not bitten but attacked by an Alaskan malamute, German Shepard and a chinese sharpei. If I evwe get bitten or attacked I'd much prefer it to be a little chi or another small breed. Fuck being bitten by a larger dog. Mmm no thank you!
@Gina I also understand chi's seriously amazing unique & quirky as hell.
If a chi bites someone then they probably had a good reason my personal opinion only! I mean nothing towards the person above, sorry I don't recall who made the chi bite comment.

I personally dont look good in collars, spiked or otherwise
But the thought was there

@Evamoon THANK u darling! I'm binge watching now.
Also my Chihuahuas dont bark!!! None. So friendly. Not at all the stereo type.
I've noticed that when some dog owners are in the hospital their dog is surrendered by a family member. I wonder if its behind the owners back? Gosh so sad.

Do you know any animal hoarders? Wow, the obsession to keep the rescue going but with NO intention to rehome is a mental illness.
I watched a lady w 200 animals in her home. YouTube animal hoarders. These people are in deep pain. Interesting how we all deal with pain differently.

@ Eva, I had a Chi once and he yapped all of the time. My house cleaner loved the dog so much, that I gave him to her. A few months later, I asked how it was going with Frito and she mentioned how he barks a lot.

Next door neighbors have chihuahuas. Our place is a large suburban lot surrounded by wrought-iron fences and gates. The chi's can run through the gaps in the fence, into our yard. We are on lovely terms with our friendly neighbors; invited to each others' summer BBQ's, family gatherings, etc.
We always have large dogs, always rescues, usually german shepherd mixed sometimes as shepherd-mastiff, shepherd-labs, usually two at a time and 70-120 pounders. They're friendly; passersby can put their hands through the fence and pet them, and get a hand-licking in return. So they are not aggressive or a bite risk.
But those chi's next door have rushed in and bitten my son, my dog, even my wfie, while picking fruit from our trees. Shitty little ankle-biters with sour attitudes and decidedly uncivilized to those not in their household.
I've resisted shooting them.
So far....

adopted a resuce pit mix a couple years ago
most loving dog i have ever had.
|
|
I have (arm) pits, a mean chihuahua, am a senior and have many special needs. The trifecta of undesirability. Perfect Hx material.
|
|
I rescued a pit
|
|
Let’s be real. Nobody here rescued anything.
Did you pull them out of a burning building? Did you jump in a river with your wingtips still on with no concern for your own safety?
Or did you just go down to the pound & get a free dog, ya cheap fucks?
