OK!
By the way, did you hear that over half the infected people die?
And the planet will be lifeless soon?
Good news is that nobody GAF about climate change now, it's too slow.
RUN!
It might be good if Ca had a 50% death rate. Traffic 7 days a week is BS,
So... if someone gets CoronaVirus.... are you allowed to kill them to keep it from spreading.
Only if they've already turned...
I suppose since we're all gonna die, there won't be a movie ??
Well I'm going step back for a while.
No need to risk this virus at my age..
Eventually, we will all die anyhow.
COVID19 death rate is more like 2%.
If you contract COVID19, you will die!
If you don't, you will still die!
Looks like COVID19 death rate is more like 3.5%
Which is worse, Corona or Corona del Mar?
gotta be Corona del Virus..
So if I paid $19.99 for a bottle of hand sanitizer on amazon that was $1.00 two weeks would I accept that or argue the information is being controlled by foreign governments. The idea of washing hands and not touching my face or any thing ingestible until after I wash again wouod not occur to me when hand sanitizer is 19.99
I couldn’t find any hand sanitizer... I’m using sandpaper.
I‘my sure that many of us will survive the virus.
But if you have a pre-existing condition...say a limp dick as an example... then kiss it good bye!

A leading Harvard doctor has claimed that coronavirus isn’t anywhere near as fatal as people fear, saying the real death rate is less than 1 percent - far lower than the World Health Organization’s alarming figures of 3.4 percent.
Well a rage magazine said if one takes just a 1000 mg's C everyday you increase your chances up to 42% not getting it.
That other magazine said, if you shoot and kill yourself, you have zero chance contracting the virus.
It's true if you shoot yourself in the head you will totally immune. Although you may still be required to pay taxes.
Leave it to humanity to come up with something so insidious as taxation.
Fear mongers!!
Fear monger? Na I'm more of a smart ass.

Although the World Health Organization (WHO) says the death rate is 3.4%, that is of known cases of Coronavirus. Since our response has been so bad in the US in producing and sending out tests, those infected may be much higher than reported, so the actual percentage of deaths should be a lot less. Let's say it is around 1% for argument's sake.
The Coronavirus spreads very quickly and effectively, and it is claimed that 40% to 70% of the US population will be infected within one year (it was revised down to 20-60%, but I've read 70% in other articles). Let's use the 40% number:
331 million people x 1% x 40% = 1,324,000 people would die in the United States alone
Or at 20% (best case scenario):
662,000 people in the US would die or 30,800,000 worldwide would die
Again, those at high risk are the elderly and those with chronic health issues. The healthcare system in the US is not prepared for this. South Korea's death rate is 0.6%, but their healthcare system is much, much better than ours.
The vast majority of the US population will be fine, but the elderly and those with chronic health conditions should try to isolate themselves in some way until a viable treatment is developed, which will likely be at least one year to 18 months away.
For one, there are 10.92 hospital beds per 1,000 people in South Korea, compared to 2.89 in the United States.
And as of today, only 1,895 people have been tested for Coronavirus in the US (a pathetic response), while South Korea tests 10,000 per day and has tested 140,000 to date.
Our healthcare system is not equipped for an epidemic, which is a huge problem. If we don't have enough hospital beds for the sick, then the number of deaths (and the percentage) will rise because they won't be adequately treated if they develop respiratory disorders that require treatment (which requires hospitalization).
If we don't have enough tests, then we can't contain the spread of the virus.
And to answer a previous statement, I appreciate your logic in inoculating people 55 and younger so they develop immunity, but people who have recovered from it are getting sick again. And although the mortality rate is almost 15 percent in the elderly and with medical conditions, who have the highest risk, there will still be a percentage of people who are younger who will also die from this. So that isn't really a viable prophylactic measure.

US is sending out over 1.9 million test kits and just ramping up
real death % is somewhere between .1% and .5%
Anybody out there selling their real estate cheap to run for the hills, PM me please.
you hear the head of the cdc? the tests the koreans are doing are basic screenings and not a true C-virus test
so maybe that's how they ramped up so quickly with the big numbers VS the USA
50% sounds about right for the men here, prevailing age over 50...
Seriously though, economic impact of no ships coming in is going to become more apparent as stocks run out. Economic impact here as test kits come out and find that it is too late to contain it here.
Many Americans are in denial about the severity of this virus to the elderly, yes most probably won't notice it personally, but may loose grandparents etc... if they believe they can ignore it completely.
So will things slow down around here because of Covid-19?
If you look at the map that OP provided a link to, North Korea isn't listed. I guess if you shoot the infected people, then there wouldn't be any cases and in reality the person didn't die from the Coronavirus so the map is accurate.

TantricaX....you have solved the world's problem....

Read somewhere that using a good hand soap is a better germ killer than brands like Purell. There are a fair number of older guys on this site!

The press is overreacting and hyping people up...
Hyping up? What planet are you on?
Northern Italy on lock down.
SXSW cancelled.
And a CPAC attendee tested positive.
With these odds, by the time summer is here, a few people here may get it, and one will not survive it.
^ future non-survivor
Fucking pussies should embrace the coming dystopian future when TP will be currency and hazmat suits standard wear for the day.
^LMAO^.
The Gloom guy should get infected..

Lol, no shit but the gods never make it that easy

Africa still leads in Aids i think, not far to have 2 curses.

Good news, I just heard they cancelled the election!
Or was that my erection, i get those confused.

Never cancel an erection or election..

Muriatic acid sanitizes and one will not even think about the corona once applied.

This is going to be the week where everything changes. We will finally find out the real numbers of infected as the tests finally roll out. Ted Cruz (and another congressman) just put themselves in self quarantine because they were exposed to a person with Coronavirus.
Italy is now experiencing a crisis (133 dead in one day and now the second most infected country) and the Italian government is actually taking this seriously by doing everything they can to slow the growth of infection, including demanding 1/4 of the country (16 million people) to self quarantine.
The US government is going to have to take drastic measures if it wants to avert hundreds of thousands of deaths.
There is less than 4000 deaths so far...
