Well...everybody is already suing the Princess Cruise Line for exposing them to the virus, so as a big corporate monster why would you expose yourself to litigation? And even if you couldn't be sued, there is a good chance that attendance could fall way down and performers would pull out. Coachella is a shit show in perfect conditions...the risk is just too high I guess.

The current state of this country is embarrassing. How could any entity be held responsible for hosting an event as long as local, state, and federal governments have no issue with it? Its here, deal with it. Its not the fucking black plague. Litigation in this country is so out of control. Fuck, every time I talk about it I get more pissed.

It sounds like the County of Riverside was considering pulling their permit for the event.
Part of of it is the fear of litigation... the other part is the stupidity of people. I am against the Nanny State... but I see that some feel the need (on rare occasions rightfully so) to protect people from themselves.
Why could the government pull permits for mass gathering events... yet they still allow people to get on these cruise ships?
I think stupid people should be allowed to die.
At the same time... how far do responsible people go to keep CV from spreading?
So Fecal goes to Coachella. He is in a crowd of tens of thousands of sweaty people. A few coughs, a a few sneezes and a few touches later... Dumbfuck is infected. His stupid, selfish ass comes back. As usual takes a shit and doesn’t wash his handles. He has smears of doody on his hands. He goes to Petco to buy food for his 27 cats. Another old cat lady uses the same grocery cart he used... she gets his filth on her.
He gets sick, dies and gets eaten by his cats because no one cares. No one notices he is gone until he is stinking up the place. They find him dead in his hoarder apartment filled with every Los Angeles Times newspaper and every edition of Cat Fancy magazine printed since 1980.
The old lady has friends and family that come buy to check on her... she gets all of them sick.
Fecal’s only contribution to the world is getting some old cat lady sick ... but he becomes patient zero that wipes out shut-ins, their families and everyone they come in contact with.
