Trump isn't responsible for the coronavirus but many of his public comments have not been helpful to market confidence and when he contradicts health care professional from the CDC right in front of them, sane people see that as a problem.

Here is what you have to admit... whether you like the idea of a wall or not... Trump made a promise to build the wall... and has continued to do anything and everything he can to fulfill his promise. The Dems have tried to block his efforts at every turn... so he looks for other ways/places to find funding.
Those who hate him complain about his lack of progress on the wall... when they are the ones stopping the progress... then they complain that he tries to go around them. If he didn’t then they would say, “see... he didn’t keep his promise.”
President (Obama or Trump... and whoever comes next) is a thankless job and at any given moment vocal critics are at your throat... what you should have done... what you shouldn’t have done. What you should have said... what you shouldn’t have said.
All you can do is make the best decisions you can, weigh the criticism and keep moving.

Seriously - horrible timing for me on this issue. Ofcourse. All my stocks (okay I�m far from ballin but LOVE the stock market/tech industry,etc) aaaaand all mine were up over 25% to Tesla at 91% ... and within two days? Smack down. Bummer. I am holding onto Nvidia, Square, and Tesla for the most part... anyone have any advice/input? Oh- and Ofcourse I bought a lil too rt now like Ameritrade and Square. When you think this is going to pass/gonna make a comeback? Soon hopefully dam*it haha xoxo miss u guys

Trump promised a huge infrastructure program. It turned out that he figured the wall would be a great investment in the future. Plus, Mexico is paying for the wall as Trump has said with all the tariffs on Mexican goods. So, when Corona wants to import some of their beer, the US supplier pays the money to the Corona and Corona pays the tariff. The US gets its infrastructure for free and we get a wall to boot! It's all good.
There some democrats who will claim that infrastructure means new airports, new train stations, a new electrical grid, high speed trains, or earthquake resistant structures. That is what the old Europeans do with their infrastructure money. And look what it gets them. France has a higher unemployment rate than the US! And while European train stations are more beautiful than our highest end malls, we get to drive the biggest and fastest SUVs all over the good old USA.

The whole idea and calling it a wall is a bigoted notion to make people think America is going to built this massive structure to protect ourselves from our brown neighbors to the south. Trump said we don't want open boards? Really? Why is there NO discussion of building this wall/fence on our Northern boarder to keep out our neighbors to the north? Also the wall concept is stupid and a waste of money because people will still find a way to get over of under this dumb wall/fence.All it is is more bullshit to throw out to his red hat wearing followers. Also Trump is the only person that calls the barrier a wall. Its was always constructed as a fence the could be seen though.

Yes, there's definitely risk involved, but you can stack the deck in your favor as much as possible...
Here's simple advice that I give to anyone ...
Build up a nice savings of cash to begin with, one as operating cash, the other as a rainy day cash fund... What that value is, is up to you, but I'd think in today's world of expenses, a combination of at least 20 k operating cash / 30 k rainy day fund --- would be in the ballpark...
Once you've achieved that goal, and have studied how the stock market functions, start with splitting your next savings dollars --- 25% stocks / 75 % cash --- as you get more comfortable ---- 50% stocks / 50 % cash ---- You get to a very comfortable level --- 75% stocks / 25% cash ...
I suggest mutual funds to begin the phase of 25% stocks / 75 % cash...
Once you have a grasp of it all at 50 / 50 --- start picking individual stocks in industries that you love and understand.... You'll know when you're an expert and can take it to 75 / 25....
