Costa Mesa does rock for Pizza
Rance's - Chicago Style --- Harbor & Baker
Ciao's - New York Style --- On Harbor --- between Fair & Wilson
Nick's - Just the best --- Right by Ciao's --- On Harbor --- between Fair & Wilson

I second Rance's Chicago Pizza in Costa Mesa for deep dish pizza but I usually go to the one in Long Beach. Other than this, I don't know much about the OC although I have gone to various pizza joints. I tend to go to places in LA instead.

Al's New York Cafe. You can get them on Doordash. I might do that today.
They are in Costa Mesa. Sgt. Pepperoni's is my #2., in Newport Beach.
Al's is the closest you're going to get to real New York pizza, in my experience.
Another vote for Haus of Pizza in Costa Mesa.
I am not a New York style pizza fan but several of my client's like Al's New York Café. Also Al's does have some good sandwiches.
