And let's keep in mind we're just trying to slow the infection rate so that the folks most at risk of severe symptoms (elderly and underlying conditions) won't overwhelm the hospitals all at once. Most people will just have flu like symptoms. But we only have so many respiratory units for those older folks that end up in the hospital. Italy has an older population and many are smokers. So many from northern Italy just ran to southern Italy to avoid lock down, but they are spreading it...and southern Italy has little hospital capacity.

Looking at where this is headed things aren't looking good.
This is starting to look like the beginning of some sort of depression.

Right now we have all schools closed and you look around theres not that many people on the streets for a Monday.
The supermarkets have lines all the way out the store in the rain.
I saw a Del Taco closed, all restaurants are supposed to only do take out, Bars closed, Gyms Closed, I don't know about the malls.
Trump said today this could last till July or August. I really don't think the economy will be able to last half that time without collapsing into a depression.
If businesses aren't open people and businesses can't make money or survive.
Many many businesses could go out of business which could create a depression.
None of this looks good. This could be the beginning of this slide. Its time NOW for each of us to come up with a plan for our own individual financial survival in the days and months ahead.

I looked on costco online, not only are the prices higher significantly than in store, but there is a delivery surcharge of $25 and a 2 day wait for any orders less than $250

The principles that Obama set in place that Trump has been riding on are good but this virus will cost the US over 1 trillion dollars. Economist expect unemployment to rise to somewhere around 20%.. Trumps been riding a good wave for 3 years but now he's got to do what Obama did and bring it back from the brink.
